Honestly I think the only reason I prefer Buffy is because of Spike. If he had been in Angel since the first season, that probably would have been my favorite, lol.

But I love them both.

I also love them both, but the reason I prefer Buffy a little bit more is because it came first, and I grew up watching it.

I love my buffy...it can make me laugh, cry, angry, etc. It's got great characters, and great story lines. But Angel is much darker and the storyline are more serious. There are still funny moments in most eps (especially season 5) but I like that Angel is more intenese

I Love them Both :) Thats a really hard question, I guess i love Buffy more as it took me longer to get into Angel. They both have great storylines and amazing Characters...

In all honesty, if I had started Angel without having been an avid Buffy fan I don't know if I would have stuck with it. Angel as a character has so much development and explanation in season 2 of Buffy that was needed to cross over. The best moments, to me, in season one of Angel dealt with what happened on Buffy. Faith, I Will Remember You, Wes,Cordy (who had the same issue).
Also, once Connor was a teenager and Cordy turned all Grr? Not my favorite stuff. Buffy on the other hand was lighter and played with so much character involvment since the first ep. Plus, Spike! Can't forget Spike.

buffy all the way liked angel to but when it was on if i ever missed a show i didnt really care whereas if i missed buffy i went mental

i can't choose. angel has...well, ANGEL, plus wesley, spike, cordy, fred, & illyria, all amazing characters. buffy was spike, willow, anya, xander, giles, & buffy, also all amazing characters. buffy has a better plot, but angel, in my opinion, has the best characters (i decided). so i can't choose!!!!!!

Better show. I've recently managed to get my girlfriend to watch both series and we were doing it as I did watching alternate episodes once Angel moved to LA. She loved Buffy at first and took a few episodes to get into Angel but sure enough the time came where she just wanted to watch Angel and wasn't as keen on Buffy...S5 and S6 almost put her off watching S7 altogether but I persuaded her and she did at least enjoy that. Exactly what I went through though, Angel rules.

i love both shows but btvs is my no.1 favorite and nothing can beat it!i loved angel too but sometimes it could really depressing.on the other hand buffy had some funny moments which made the show easier to watch(don't get me wrong,i HATE comedies,actually,i'm considered to be a real drama queen but angel was way to depressing).

Angel is more of an adult show, with darker tones, which I love.

I just feel that Buffy is way better. Like Angel is a not-as-great version or something. I don't know.

O, w/out a doubt!

Overall, I like Buffy more because of the storyline, characters, and "feel" of the show. It's more comical in most episodes. Don't get me wrong, I like Angel a lot, but it's a darker series than Buffy. I actually liked Angel first. Never saw an episode of Buffy until about January of this year. Been watching Angel for years.

Years ago I fought watching Buffy. Didn't start until it was in the 6th season, & even though I fell in love with the series, I never had any interest in watching Angel. Last year I changed my mind & I have to say I really enjoyed Angel, but Buffy has Giles so that's where my allegiance lies. :)

Absolutely. Angel was okay, but I kept getting the feeling that the writers were trying too hard to make it good and they failed miserably.

They're both equal, I could never ever pick. I just picked Angel because it got less voted. :-)

Angel is the best tv show and I love how the show is. More understandable and adult like. I perfer Angel more than Buffy. Angel is the one.
