Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
‘The Walking Dead’: Carol Peletier’s 8 Most Badass Moments
Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) may be the fearless leader of our diverse band of survivors on
, but in our humble opinion, Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) is the crew’s resident badass.
Sure, the former Atlanta resident started off as a meek, abused housewife, but she’s expertly adapted to life in the post-apocalyptic world and now has as much (if not more) emotional and physical strength than any of her comrades.
Whether she’s burning flu victims to stop the spread of sickness, killing a sociopathic, murderous child, or freeing her friends from a locked train car surrounded by cannibals, Carol is known for doing whatever needs to be done to survive; no questions asked.
’s resident cookie maker’s most badass moments.
Season 1, Episode 4: “Vatos” — Ed’s Really,
Prior to this episode, Carol was nothing more than a housewife who did whatever her husband Ed told her to do, but after abusive Ed was bitten by walkers, Carol took it upon herself to kill him and make sure he didn’t reanimate as a walker himself.
But Carol didn’t just kill Ed, she made sure he was really,
dead, hitting him in the head with a pickaxe until he was reduced to nothing more than a bloody pulp. From that moment on we knew Carol was a force to be reckoned with, even if it took her a bit longer to really come into her own.
Season 3, Episode 10: “Home” — Carol Uses Axel as a Human Shield
Carol first proved she would do whatever it takes to stay alive when she used prisoner Axel as a human shield after he was killed in the first showdown with The Governor (David Morrissey) at the prison. Carol and Axel had bonded before his death (she even taught him how to use a gun moments before he died) but that didn’t stop her from using his body as protection from some intense gunfire.

Season 4, Episode 1: “30 Days Without an Accident — “Storytime”
In the Season 4 opener, things were going great — even normal — at the prison, but Carol knew after The Gov’s first attack the peace wouldn’t last and he’d be back for more. In preparation for another showdown, Carol taught the kids of the prison how to use weapons, and she disguised this weapons training as “story time.”
Carol’s lessons ensured several of the prison’s youngest residents survived The Governor’s second deadly attack.
Season 4, Episode 2: “Infected” — Burning Bodies
In order to preserve the temporarily peaceful way of life at the prison, Carol took it upon herself to kill Karen and David and burn their bodies when they both got infected with the rapidly spreading, deadly flu.
By killing Karen and David, Carol probably saved several lives, but when Rick got wind she was  the one who offed the pair he didn’t see it that way and banished her from the prison. Thus she became…
Season 4, Episode 4: “Indifference” — Solo Carol
We checked in with Carol periodically throughout her time alone, and while nothing specific happened, we’re impressed she was able to survive solo for so long. That’s the sign of a true badass, if you ask us.

Season 4, Episode 14: “The Grove: — “Look at Flowers”
We’ll never look at flowers the same way thanks to this bone-chilling episode in which Carol made the very difficult decision to kill sociopath Lizzie Samuels (Brighton Sharbino) after Lizzie killed her younger sister Mika Samuels (Kyla Kenedy) and presented clear danger to baby Judith.
We know murdering Lizzie couldn’t have been easy for Carol (especially after she lost her own daughter Sophia) but again, she did what needed to be done for the good of the larger group.
Season 5, Episode 1: “No Sanctuary”  — Camouflage Carol
Though Rick banished her, Carol didn’t hesitate to help him and the others when she learned they were trapped in a train car at Terminus and surrounded by heartless cannibals. Carol set off an elaborate distraction (explosions! walker camo!) to free her friends and it worked like a charm.
If not for Carol’s ingenious plan, we’re betting many of our survivors would have met their ends at Terminus.
Season 5, Episode 13: “Forget” — Carol’s Cookies
Once she reached the Alexandria Safe Zone in Season 5, Carol snapped right back into helpful housewife mode. Only this time it was all part of a larger strategy to blend in with the Alexandria residents. Housewife Carol wears sweater sets, talks about the secret to a good casserole, and yes, bakes some seriously delicious cookies.
But unlike the clueless inhabitants of Alexandria, Housewife Carol also knows what it takes to survive in this world. When Jessie’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) son catches Carol swiping some guns from the weapons room, she makes it very clear if he tells anyone what he saw she’ll tie him to a tree and leave him for the walkers. She also promises him his own batch of cookies because she’s nice like that.
’s toughest characters has been a thrill to watch, and we can’t wait to see what other badass moments lie in store for her in Season  6 and (hopefully) beyond!
Season 6 premieres with a 90-minute episode on October 11 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
