Chapter 20
Let the games begin
“What are te doing here?” I ask.
“I could ask te the same thing,” America risposte crossing her arms and giving me a pointed look. “Zyanna.”
Now right then, my cuore did stop. “What?”
“Oh, don’t act stupid Zy, I know who te are.”
“How…?”
America looked confused. “You mean te didn’t send me that link.”
“What link?”
“Someone gave me a text that was a link, it was of you. te were with this cute boy and…the killer…the one from the shed. And there was a ton of things that te should really see.”
“It was anonymous?”
“It was, but please tell me it’s not true. te can’t be the killer, o working with the killer, o whatever the hell te have to do with the killer!”
“America-”
“We confided in you, and te betrayed us, te just played us. Tell me, did te plan all this?”
“I would never-”
“You can’t be, it just doesn’t make sense. Did te see us, like we saw you? Are you-”
“I’m not the killer!” I yell, causing the whole lobby to look at us. I did a little fake laugh that Azerien taught me. “Why don’t we continue this game outside.”
I pull on her arm and I’m surprised she doesn’t protest, we ignore the perplexed looks and shaking heads, it’s better if they think this is a game rather than for what it really is.
We go to a deserted place, it was a huge spazio of erba with a lake on the right. America smoothed her casual dress and sat down, she patted a spot successivo to her, “continue.”
I must’ve had a weird look on my face because she laughed. “Just explain, just because te might be trying to kill us doesn’t mean I don’t Amore te no more, because I do.”
I gave her a grateful smile as I sat down successivo to her. I took a deep breath. “I’m not the killer.”
“We’ve established that.”
I sighed. “My father is.”
America took an intake of breath. “Your father?”
I nodded. “He’s always been a…tortured soul. He had started killing when he was kicked out in high school, he never…stopped. He married my mom had Azerien my older brother, and me and my fraternal twin.”
“Bellaire?”
“How did te know?” I ask, astonished.
“Found her on Twitter,” America detto sheepishly, “it was easy to make the connection.”
“Well, anyway, he took Azerien and I, and we’ve been living with him ever since. We always went wherever he went, money was never a problem. We moved here, to his hometown, because he told us too.” I felt tears prick my eyes. “We never snitched, we never disobeyed him. He used us, and he’s trying to make Azerien into a monster, just like he is.”
“Why?” America asked, rubbing my shoulder’s and wiping tears I hadn’t noticed.
“To carry on his legacy, apparently the female species are weak. I didn’t say anything because I loved him, and…I was scared. te guys were the closets Friends I’ve ever had, I couldn’t choose, I hoped things would blow over. But they didn’t. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
“No, sweetie I’m sorry. For giving te a hard time, for making te feel scared of losing your family, I’m so sorry.”
“But what te were doing, it’s right. He doesn’t deserve to choose who lives and dies, he’s not God. We have to stop him, all of us, together. I know now, I accept it, the legendary killer will finally be behind bars, and te guys, Azerien and I, will live our lives.”
“Zyanna-”
“It has to happen, we can’t let him continue killing people, and…he wants to kill te guys because te saw him.”
“Not even a surprise,” America says.
“And I think he wants to kill me too.”
“Whoa, your kidding right? He really wants to kill his own daughter?”
“He’s killed his parents.”
“Then screw him, Zy, are te ready to catch the legendary killer?”
“Let the games begin,” I say flashing her my most evil grin.

We are going separate ways.
We must leave each other,
Though I regret it,
There is nothing either of us
Can do.
We are going separate ways.
The bright light shines in our futures,
For the separate ways we go
Are the best for each of us.
We must leave for the good of it,
Though I don't want to,
And I know te don't either.
But it is important that we do.
It is never easy
Doing what we do the worst,
Leaving each other,
And the thoughts that we are...
Best friends...leaving each other...
We must go our separate ways.
For our own good.
And we pray that one day...
We will meet each other again.
And we will.
We must leave each other,
Though I regret it,
There is nothing either of us
Can do.
We are going separate ways.
The bright light shines in our futures,

And we will.
On a starry sky
In the moonlight
At midnight
When I think of you
My cuore beats faster
For there is no one like you
Who makes my giorno perfect
Make my body to go numb
Lose myself
And forever hold that smile on my face
Its true that we are
Now on our separate ways
With the promises aside
That we'll meet again
For again might also mean
The successivo moment
o maybe never
te may sposta on
Find your perfect princess
In this imperfect world
But to me
You'll always be
My prince charming
And thus the domanda remains
Should I sposta on?
Should I forget?
Is this the destiny of my life?
Only time will tell
But until then
You'll hold a fragment of my soul
For my mind wants to sposta on
But my cuore stays persistent
That you'll one giorno turn unto me
In the moonlight
At midnight
When I think of you
My cuore beats faster
For there is no one like you
Who makes my giorno perfect
Make my body to go numb
Lose myself
And forever hold that smile on my face
