“You know he’s trouble don’t you?” Sofia stood at the entrance to the cucina looking at her daughter with her gray lupo eyes. Cassie was used to her mother looking at her with those lupo eyes when she didn’t approve of something. “I’m going upstairs to change, I’ll be right down for dinner” she could still smell Gabriel’s scent, she would never forget it, he smelled like a warm summer breeze and musk. The first time she saw him she felt a pull towards him, a pull she tried to ignore. It was too dangerous, even now, thinking of him made her mouth water. To get involved with him was wrong not only in one way but a million. The biggest of all was craving his blood. She shoved the thoughts off of her and changed to unisciti her mother for dinner. They’d didn’t talk much about anything really. Cassie always wondered how her mother fell in Amore with her father, when they were supposed to be sworn enemies. If she asked her mother about it she always got the same answer “I was young and reckless” But she could guess why her father had fallen for this woman. Her mother wasn’t tall like the other female shifters from her pack, but she could stand her ground, she was fierce and would do anything to protect the ones she loved. Her mom came walking back from the cucina “Got a phone call from Liam, I’m going to be out of town for a few days; te can take care of yourself until I get back?” Liam was the alpha male of the Shadow pride, a tall man with wide shoulders, dark hair and equally dark eyes. Though he could scare the hell out of te when he was mad, he was a nice man not one te wanted to piss of. He only called her mother when they had to track somebody; her mom was the best tracker the pride had. “Sure, no problem” she was used to her mom leaving. “Your father detto he would send Dimitri around to check on you” Cassie hated when her mom called her dad to send Dimitri to keep an eye on her, the guy was assigned to play her bodyguard and her personal combat strainer. “You had to call dad?!” her whole weekend was screwed now; Dimitri was for sure going to drag her culo to do combat training. “It’s either he checks on te o he stays with you!” Cassie shot her mom an angry glance which her mother seemed to ignore “Fine he can check on me” her mother left that same night, with a quick baciare on her forehead and a fast “take care” she was out the door. She went back to finish her dinner, did the dishes and was already turning of the lights to got to sleep when she heard a knock on the front door. She didn’t even have to smell to know who it was. Outside stood a tall man with eyes that could give te oca bumps and could keep te Frozen in one place if he wanted to. He made a bow for her when she opened the door “what do te want Dimitri!?” she was too annoyed to be polite. The corner of his mouth switched into a strange kind of smile “Goodnight princess, I see you’re already in a great mood, just came da to say that training begins at 5 am not a secondo later” and then he was gone. She slammed the door so hard that the windows shook from the force. She walked up the stairs very much pissed at her mother for calling up her dad, like she couldn’t take care of herself. “Dammit! I’m a hybrid, capable of smashing a human skull with my bare hands without the person even knowing what o who hit him and yet I still needed a freaking bodyguard!” Pissed, she went to bed; her room was filled with the scent of Gabriel, which seemed to ease her anger just a little bit. She tried to avoid him as much as she could, but every time she saw him a warm tingly feeling went through her, one she so very hard tried to ignore. But how could te ignore a man who seemed to look at only te when he saw you. He beamed of power and strength that made him all that più attractive to Cassie. With thoughts of Gabriel invading her dreams she fell happily a sleep.

First giorno of summer and I'm already bored. I'm not bored enough to want to back to school. I'm just lonely bored. L. J called me several times this morning wondering if I was okay and if I wanted to go some place with him. I kindly rejected him. If it wasn't Jennifer o Tammie calling then I don't want to hear. Velvet signed me up book club thing. I do like to read libri and she thought that maybe I could meet some new Friends that have something in common with me. I think she is full of baloney. Velvet made me promise to go to the first meeting tomorrow. I don't know. We'll see how my mood is da tomorrow.
