This song fits DE way more than SE. Damon [and Elena] can see their mistakes and actually try to work on them and make things better... I never see that development for Stefan/Stelena. The writers & Stefan himself seem to think Stefan is perfect despite the many horrible things Stefan does & has done in the past. That's the big difference between Damon & Stefan - Damon more than acknowledges that he isn't perfect, he admits that he's done horrible things, but he's the one that grows & changes and has shown that he can be a better man. Stefan... I'm sorry but not only does he constantly try to make out like Damon is the worst person ever, he always fucking conveniently forgets all of his many wrong-doings!

I'm sorry Holly, you know I love you too, and this comment is certainly not dedicated to you. But I'm just so sick of everyone claiming that Stefan thinks of himself a saint. (and yes, my very own blood-related brother even belongs to that categorie :P) While he's actually the opposite! To give an example:

Delena fans need to stop hating Stefan, and Stelena fans need to stop hating Damon. The question here really isn't: which brother is the better one? Because the answer to that: BOTH OF THEM! Am I the only one who sees how a-like they are? Yes, they both have done terrible stuff, and they're both trying to be the better man for the woman they love. But they will always have each other's back and be the first one to save on another before anybody else would. Because that's what brothers do. They fight, but at the end of the day they love each other unconditionally.

So the real question here is: how long is it going to take for Elena to stop hurting both of them? Because she's the real deal breaker here. But then again, can you really blame her for being so confused? She's just a teenager and she lost almost every freaking person she loved. I know I would go insane!

Yes, I'm a huge Stelena fan, and I hate Delena more than anything in the world. Just like there are ton of Delena fans who think the same.
But IMO, everyone needs to freaking STOP hating the characters individually! Because how can you blame someone for wanting true love? Isn't that what we all want? And isn't that what it's all about?

It's honestly NOT that i hate Stefan... i just get extremely frustrated when i see some nasty Stefan/Stelena fans completely trashing Damon, while glossing right over anything & everything Stefan has done wrong!

It bothers me because we ALL know that neither guy is perfect, far from it. They've both made mistakes, they've both done horrible things. It just seems that, in my experience at least, Damon/Delena fans are way more willing to freely admit that Damon has messed up.

I don't know... i just don't think it's right the way some Stelena fans behave. I've been personally insulted on more than one occasion - told that because i love Damon, i support RAPE.

DAMON DID NOT RAPE CAROLINE. I'm sorry, I'm not denying that he mistreated her, [he's changed & grown SO MUCH since then, but anti Damon fans refuse to acknowledge anything positive about Damon] but I've been the victim of sexual assault... twice. It makes me sick to my stomach to see Stelena fans throw out accusations of rape without giving a thought to how detrimental their words truly are.

I guess we can conclude that the TVD fandom (or any fandom for that matter) can be divided in the 2 groups.
Not the Stelena fans & the Delena fans, but the idiots & the non-idiots.
Because that's really the situation here. Both of the ships have their followers that are complete, and I'm sorry for saying this word, morons who just make arguments that don't make any sense at all, but just want to be proven right and in the end only hurt people.
