Easy I Hated Buffy/Angel :D

But I do like Buffy/Spike just that little bit more. I feel like they had more chemistry and a better storyline I guess.

Buffy&Angel's love story is just boring to me. It doesn't really have a long build-up, and after their first kiss their relationship is dull as hell. They're too gushy and dramatic for my taste (and honestly any scenes of them in s2 or s3 that aren't fights are very vomit-worthy for me, sorry :P).

Whereas Buffy&Spike's love is more unexpected and had a lot leading up to it. And they have multiple stages in their relationship, from enemies to... annoy-ers, and friends to sex fiends to lovers.
Also Spike's love seems so much more pure and true than Angel's, and the way he treats Buffy like an equal instead of the damsel like Angel sometimes did (ex: making decisions like turning back time, leaving for LA) just screams perfect couple. And of course, Spike going through the hell trials for his soul to be the man that was worthy of Buffy (in his mind) is kind of unbeatable. =P

Spuffy are just..... amazing. They have such an amazing chemistry that Bangel never had, IMO. They have a better journey and they truly loved each other at the end. Buffy and Angel did love each other, but it was Buffy's first love and I think that that was what it was supposed to be. For me, what made Spike and Buffy special, was that it just started out as meaningless [for her anyway] and it evolved into love. To me that's amazing!

I know what you mean, I love both couples!Both have amazing lovestorys and chemestry. But in the end Bangel owns my heart, their love always feels more true to me

I've seen approx. 2 seconds of Buffy and I know that I ship Spuffy FOR SURE. They are HOT. You can tell after only a few moments that they have amazing chemistry. Plus they seem like an underdog kind of couple.

As I've told you before... I don't mind spuffy, in fact I REALLY like them in some scenes. But the reason I like anything spuffy is solely because of Spike. I can completely understand a person falling in love with spuffy because of Spike's love for Buffy. But I personally have a harder time falling in love with them because of Buffy's love for Spike.
I always saw Buffy and Angel's love story as a main focus on the show (well, mainly for the first 3 seasons). But I always thought of Buffy and Spike's love story as more of a side story in order for the fans to better understand Buffy and what she was feeling (but I guess that's because I'm a Bangel fan). I loved how well Spike understood Buffy and I loved watching Buffy fall apart in season 6. Buffy is my favorite tv character so while it broke my heart to see her struggling so much, it made for great television! But I felt like spuffy's relationship in season 6 was there more to demonstrate Buffy's struggle with being alive again than to show the beginning of a great love story. I don't like how Buffy treated Spike...at all (with the exception of one or two moments). Buffy is such an incredible and selfless woman and when she was with Spike she was verbally and physically abusive as well as extremely immature. She cared only about her own satisfaction and pleasures and treated Spike like he was completely dispensable and replaceable. But I do enjoy some of their scenes... it's just not one of my favorite love stories.

Buffy and Angel are to me the epitome of an incredible love story. From the start of the show I found them adorable. I loved the way they looked at each other. I loved how different they were from each other yet how they had such a strong connection. But watching them fall in love was what really made them my favorite television couple. They were BOTH so in love with each other and so consumed with each other. It really felt like their characters were created in order to complete one another. Angel seemed to provide something in Buffy's life that she couldn't get from anyone else. and Buffy seemed to provide a lot of stuff to Angel's life that he could not get elsewhere. I love the way Buffy and Angel constantly tried saving one another---physically and emotionally-- and supporting one another. And while it made me cry sooo much when Angel left the show... I thought they brought Buffy & Angel's love story to a whole new level by having him leave Sunnydale. To give up every bit of happiness for someone else-- and then Angel did that twice! (giving up his love with Buffy in order for her to have a future, and giving up being human in order for Buffy to live)--- it really seemed like the ultimate sacrifice when it comes to love. It forced them into the category of that Romeo and Juliet created of being "star crossed lovers" and making them THE best love story in my opinon.
Even years after Angel left Sunnydale, Buffy and Angel continued to refer to each other as their lost loves- and Buffy even went as far as to say that she loved Angel more than she loved anything in this world (and this was 4 seasons AFTER Angel had already left the show)

Plus they are just SOOOO SEXY ;-P
(what other couple can make a sex scene look so hot when you barely even see the sex and all you can see is the guy's back and the girl's lips....the sexiest and most beautiful television love scene in my opinion!)
It's pretty difficult to make a couple so sexy when they can't even have sex... yet even without having sex (more than the 2 times they did and the 1 time during a dream sequence) they managed to become one of the sexiest television couples ever!

I think both Spike and Angel loved Buffy so much... and honestly I loved the way they both loved her--- they both were so in awe of her strength and her character and her beauty. When they were in relationships with Buffy, it was like the idea of any other woman was preposterous. Buffy was the only woman that would ever be on their mind during their relationships. But I loved the way Buffy loved Angel much more than the way she loved Spike.

When Angel first appeared in Welcome to Hellmouth I thought "Okay, I'm going to love Bangel!" and then there was the first kiss and her finding out that he's a vamp and I loved it and I thought "He'll probably try to kill her or she'll try to kill him! Yay!"! I was sure they were going to be exciting and new. Of course later I realised that I was wrong and that Bangel is not exciting and definitely not new... I was so sick of watching them after a couple of season 2 episodes ! And then came Spike and I thought "Man, he and Buffy have amazing chemistry! First enemies then lovers? Perfect! And they're both trying to kill each other!" and even though I was furious at Angelus for hitting on Dru I wanted Spike to eventually end up with Buff. I love the way their hatred slowly turned into relationship. They were hot in season 6, but I was obsessed with them in season 7 ;)

So to summarize:
Bangel - boring blah-blah
Spuffy - very entertaining ...something


Okay, I probably have a dozen of mistakes there, but I hope you'll forgive me. I'm very tired ;)

I love Spuffy!
But I really do like Bangel...I just feel like the Angel was the guy that 16 year old Buffy loved and Spike was the guy that adult Buffy loved.

Bangel is alright and I love how no matter what, they always remain close and they always try to see each other but Spuffy is just better to me. I really just love them.

Basically i feel Spike and Buffy were only pt together because they were the two most popular characters, Bangel are soul mates they have an unbeleivable connection, spuffy have a great sex life but you dont need love to have a great sex life its a way of escaping life which is what buffy did with Spike!
