Is it just me that thinks True Blood is copyng Twilight a little?

I agree with Hellohoudini & cr6zym0nkeyiz. True blood was around quite a while before The Twilight Series. Yes, there are a lot of libri trying to be Twilight but True Blood isn't one of them. I thoroughly enjoy both, and see them as two well written, different story lines. :)

True Blood is based on a book series that was published in 2001, the third season (which has the werewolves) is based on the third book, which was published in 2003, way before Twilight was even published.
So no, True Blood isn't copying Twilight in any way. If te really look at it te could even say Twilight copied the Sookie Stackhouse series.
te have no idea what you're talking about... True blood isn't doing anything else than follow the book storyline.

Being a fan of both, I have to dissagree with what te say (not trying to cause offence). The Southern Vampire Mysteries (AKA; True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse novels.) First came out in 2001, long before The Twilight Saga was even though of. The TV series 'True Blood' was released in 2007, a anno before Twilight was released as a film. I read The Twilight Saga long before I read The Southern Vampire Mysteries, but as soon as I read the first book, I realised that Twilight and Dead Until Dark (first book) had too many similarities. I went online to see which came first and I learned that The Southern Vampire Mysteries was created 4 years before Twilight. Therefore proving that Stephanie Meyer (though, I am a fan) copied Charlaine Harris. (Which annoyed me a lot.)

its just you. read the books. they have più than licantropi in the books. it came out before twilight. just b/c a series has licantropi u want to compare it to twilight. there r a lot of vampire libri have licantropi in them.

a lot of things are copying off of twilight, hoping it will be a big hit like twilight is...some shows make it really obvious, i think its rediculous.

So are te saying Twilight copied Buffy? Joss Wheadon wrote Buffy the Vampire Slayer 12-13 years fa and I think it's that, that started it all. remember Oz the Werewolf in that? Other than that, True Blood is nothing like Twilight, the upcoming Vampire Diaries new series will also feature Werewolves, are they copying Twilight o Buffy?

I don't watch True Blood, but I think they came out before The Twilight Saga.Same with The Vampire Diaries.And Stephenie Meyer got the idea for Twilight from a dream, no one is copying anybody.

Actully the first book of The Sookie Stackhouse series was Dead Until Dark and it was publishe in may of 2001 but it was wriiten before that Twilight was written in 2005.

I thought the same thing at first, I watched twilight before true blood. A lot of similarities but in truth true blood was first published 2001 and twilights first pubblica was 2005. The shows came out around the same time but were written at different times, So in truth Twilight might have copied True Blood in some ways. Stephany Meyer did Amore to read so maybe she had a dream like she did (or fantasy) da Leggere those books. Only she knows the answer I doubt she’d admit if it either way, I’m sure everyone knows the similarities.

As others have pointed out, the libri True Blood are based on were published a few years before the Twilight series, so if there'd be any case of copying it'd be Twilight copying True Blood. But I don't think there is. There are some similarities, like the male character-main female character-male character Amore triangolo o the Vampiri#From Dracula to Buffy... and all creatures of the night in between. and licantropi te mentioned, but they're the kind of plot points which are really commonplace. licantropi and Vampiri#From Dracula to Buffy... and all creatures of the night in between. both belong in fantasy/horror Scrivere so it's no surprise to have stories containing both. The only remarkable thing in common, as far as I remember, is that both Bella and Sookie have minds which can't be read.

The libri that True Blood is based off started in 2001, Twilight released in 2005. There's no way they could have copied Twilight. Meyer took The South Vampire Mysteries, glittered it up and made Twilight into the kiddie version. Twilight is diet Tru Blood. And learn how to frickin spell, SERIOUSLY!
