Did New Moon change your opinion of Edward?

well, there was this same question, but your descrizione of why your opinion changed was different, so I won't copy and paste my answer. haha

No my opinion did not. It actually pushed me to get through the book faster. But I knew he would come back. haha we don't see how it really hurt him till chapter 22 of eclipse, but we catch glimpses of his pain until then. and I can kind of see your point, but for example. It's the same with other relationships as well. Maybe not to that extent, the life and death factor, but a milder situation. Edward left Bella to save her. He had to hurt her, to save her. When he comes back, he's remorseful, he refers to his words before as the "blackest kind of blasphemy". So, he was completely unforgiving of himself for making the choice to save her da removing himself from her life. And, no we can't forget that because it'll be a reminder of what they can't do. They can't live without each other. It's literally impossible. But we can oversee his decision because, even though he hurt her tremendously, he did it for her. During their separation, he "killed" himself too. If he left for another reason then I would possibly have disliked him, but for the reason that he left to save her, I Amore him even more.

I never change my mind the way I Amore Edward even he left Bella.In New Moon, he'd just thought 'what is the best for Bella'. And do te remember how he felt in Eclipse when Jacob mostra him what Bella was like in the forest... I think if his cuore still beaten, it would be broken because the much of pain...

Ok i still luv edward as much as i did in twilight than i do in new moon!!!!! DU! So all i have 2 say is go inprint yourself somewhere else jacob!

i loved edward until he left.then i started LOVING jacob (lol he's soo hot XD) so i geuss it did.i used to be team edward.now im team switzerland

When he detto that he didnt't Amore Bella anymore and I didn't want to believe it and I didn't. I suspected he did this to keep Bella sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza and I it also came to my attention how he was getting further from Bella after the incident at the birthday so I figured whatever he did it would be to keep Bella safe. So on the whole I never disliked Edward, I always had hope that he would come back and fortunately he did.

no not really because i knew edward would return but at first i wanted 2 kill 4 about 5 secondi then i actually thought about it and i knew it was out of loveand really 2 be honest jacob annoys the crap out of me in every book!

not at all I dont mind Edward but I do like Jacob so I dont no which one to pick could te help me please?!

I agree with panda, I think that if Edward had left for another reason it wouldn't have made me ahte him, but it would have made me thik about him differantly.
It was hard to get through the book, because te already know that he's going to come back, but it was taking so long!
At the time I was basicly like "ok. I know that this whole story is Edward+Bella=Story, so I know he's coming back. I don't care about her getting buddy-buddy with Jacob, will he just come back already?!"
But after time, a lot of time, I grew to like Jacob as a character, as Bella puts it; when he takes his "mask" off.
But Edward is just such a likable person, I did want to kill him when he left though because I knew that he only left to protect her (it was pretty oblious with the hints about him being a really good liar, him always saying how wrong it was for him to be with her, how he wishes he had the strength to leave, ect, ect.)
But I didn't even hate him when he was being an jerk (for Bella's sake, but still) in Breaking Dawn, and trying to kill the "monster".
That was sad, but I still didn't hate him.
