I grabbed my passport and ran with the rest of the family to the Cullen house. “Edward, where are we going? Do te know where Nessie is, who took her?” I had no idea what was going on. Everyone was on a phone talking too fast and too low for me to hear. “Jake, we need to make a few phone calls, we have some idea who may have taken her but we need to make sure first.” Edward told me. I knew he was as worried as I was. I felt helpless; I didn’t know what to do. “Jake, why don’t te go and tell your pack what’s going on.” Edward knew what I was thinking, he knew I felt helpless. I ran out the door and phased as soon as I hit the woods. Seth wasn’t too far away; I didn’t bother phasing back to talk to him in my human form. “Jake what’s going on?” Seth was in front of me. I let him know what was going on. “Jake is there anything we can do?” Seth looked like he would cry. He loved Nessie too, but who didn’t. “No Seth. Where is everyone; Quil, Embry and Leah?” I asked. “It was my turn to run patrol tonight, the rest of the pack is at home in LaPush.” He told me. “I’m going to be leaving Seth. I have to find her; Edward, Bella and I are going to get her back.” “Do what te need to do Jake; I’ll let the rest of the pack know.” “Tell Leah she is in charge till o if I come back.” I said. “What do te mean if te come back?” “I mean I’m not coming back without her and if something horrible has happened to her ; te wont see me again.” “Jake te can’t leave us, we need te too.” Seth was pleading with me. “Go now Seth.” “But Jake…” I cut him off if I let him he would talk me into coming back broken then what good would I be to anyone. “NOW” I barked at him. Seth ran off into the woods. I hated making anyone do something they didn’t want to do, especially Seth. He hasn’t imprinted on anyone yet, he just doesn’t understand how I can’t live in a world that she doesn’t live in. I would rather die than be without her. I ran back from LaPush back to our house. I knew she wouldn’t be there, but maybe there was something we hadn’t seen. Some clue we missed something that could help me find her. I stood on our porch where her scent was the strongest. I looked all around and couldn’t see anything. It was like she vanished into thin air. I was about to leave when I felt something sharp on the bottom of my foot. I bent down to see what it was, a very sharp piece of wood. It looked to be carved da hand. It was small and had a strange sent to it. I didn’t waste any time, I quickly ran to the Cullen house. I burst through the door; everyone was sitting in the living room not saying anything. “Jake, I’m sorry we haven’t’ found anything out. We have no clues on who took Nessie.” Edward said. Bella was sitting with him on the couch. “I found this on our porch, maybe it will help.” I handed the piece of wood to Edward. “Where did te find this?” He asked. “It was on our porch it must have fallen in between some boards and I was walking away and it jabbed into the bottom of my foot. It has a strange smell to it also.” I told him. I was hoping, praying one of them would have some answers. “I may know who has her.” Carlisle spoke up. “You all remember after Nessie was born and the Volturi came to destroy us. And how Alice had saved us all da bring Nahul. Remember what he detto about his father. How he thought himself as a scientist. What if he was curious of Nessie? What if he has her? Edward let me see that piece of wood.” Edward handed the piece of wood to Carlisle. “Just what I thought, this is a very sharp piece of bamboo. This is what he must have used to sedate Renesmee with.” I was confused. “I thought nothing could but your skin. Except for your teeth, Nessie has skin almost as impenetrable as yours. How could this break her skin?” I wanted answers. “Jake we have never tried to see if anything could break her skin, why would we try. Johan has other half vampire half human children. He has probably experimented on them.” Carlisle said. “So what are we waiting o let’s get on a plane and go get her” I was going to start walking out the door when Edward stopped me. “Jake we need to come up with a plan. We can’t go in there not knowing what to expect. I’ll call the airline and get some tickets.” Edward was pulling his phone out and purchased three tickets for South America. I should have known Bella wasn’t going to stay behind. “Edward, how are we going to find her when we get down there?” I asked. “We are going to find Zafrina and hopefully she will help us find Nahul. He should have some idea where his father is. Bella why don’t te go and pack our bags, we need to be leaving in an hour.” Edward said. “You will call us if anything happens.” Esme was talking to all of us. “Yes Mom someone will call with an update.” Edward told her. Edward and Alice where having one of their non verbal conversations, she was probably telling him where to find Zafrina. Rose and Emmett met me at the door. “Jake please call us and tell us if she is alright. Don’t be afraid to call if te need help in a fight.” Emmett playfully punched my shoulder. “Please bring her back home.” Rose was standing in front of me. Then she did something that shocked everyone. She leaned in and hugged me. “Please bring her back to all of us.” She whispered in my ear. “Sure,sure Blondie I won’t come back without her.” Jake its time, we should be going.” Bella was at the door waiting for me. Edward was in his Volvo waiting. Bella climbed into the back sede, sedile and let me ride shot gun. We got to the airport in no time. When we got there we got our tickets and found our terminal, we had to wait for the plane. The waiting was killing all of us. “Edward, what if we can’t find her, what if Johan has done something really bad. What if he has done his experiments and has gotten rid of her. She could be all alone o even dead.” Bella was worrying too much she was going to go into hysterics soon if she didn’t calm down. “Bells, I would know if she was dead. My cuore would be broken and I’m pretty sure I would be dead along with her.” I was trying to reassure her, also trying to reassure myself. If she was gone, I would be also.
