The Cullens
Twilight must be one of the most popolare teenage libri of all time and not only was it such a hit for the teenagers, but it was going well for various adults. The main gender that reads the series would be female, but it is widely read da males, too.

The movie was very well done. I thought it captured the main facts of the story. The actors were excellent, and all of the characters suited the ones that were imagined da millions of people worldwide. It really drew me in, caught my attention, and not once could I take my eyes off of the screen.

Criticism:
I think they rushed the movie a bit. I understand they may have been trying to keep it shorter and not painful to endure, and that they were trying to sum up all 498 pages of the book. I would have prefered it to be a bit longer and capture più that the book had said. I also found it to be a bit choppy and jumped from scene to scene too fast, there wasn't as much 'fluff' as I would have liked. Although, I did find the choppiness somewhat suiting to the movie.

I've gotta say, when I walked into the theater, I kept saying to myself, "it's a low-budget film. It's a four hundred whatever book crammed into two hours..." te get the point. I wasn't expecting the movie to be as great as the book (Duh!). However, the movie turned out better than I expected! I actually loved it and I'm planning on seeing it again!

The Characters

Edward:
I loved how Robert actually portrayed Edward. It was exactly how I pictured him. He was defiantly creepy. I mean, appearing in her room and just standing there, but it was how I thought of Edward. I remember Leggere the book and actually telling my sister (who already read it at the time), "Wow, Edward is really creepy and seems like a douche bag." All she detto in return was, "you'll Amore him." And obviously, I did. He was so unbelievably perfect. Even if the rest of this movie sucked, Robert's performance is what saved it. Besides, he was so gorgeous. I couldn't be any happier that they picked him. I probably have a lot più to say, but I'm just so happy and excited to get this out that.

Okay, I just got back from watching Twilight the movie... and just let me tell te I am not a happy camper. I mean, I didn't expect the movie to be as good as the book, DUH! The book was AWESOME. The movie, on the other hand left me questioning, "What were they thinking!?!".

Let me just say, there was ALOT of stuff left out of the movie. And the things they did put in it was not comparable to the book.

I should mention that I laughed alot... which might be a good thing if this movie were a comedy, but it wasn't.

Here are just a few things that really bothered me (These are my first impressions - I'll try and add little bits and pieces as I remember them tomorrow):

Jasper - he looked constipated throughout the WHOLE movie.

To me, there was not real connection between Bella and Edward.

And Edward didn't really *dazzle* :( He just kinda looked like he was covered in frost.

There were time that the actors looked like they were grinning o about to laugh, when the situation was supposed to be serious.

ok wow. I honestly don't even know where to start with this. Let me just say that the movie surpassed all of my expectations. It was just right and what all of the critics are saying are the perfect things. If te haven't read the books, then te most likely would not find very much talent in the actors o understand the storyline very well. The movie stayed to the core of the story wonderfully. Robert Pattinson could not have done a better job. His voice was velvet, scary when needed, and his facial expressions delivered with ease. It almost seemed natural to him. Kristen Stewart was definitely clumsy and did not look like she was forcing it, like rob she looked natural (except for a few parts the way she talked was a bit odd but other than that it was phenomenal). All of the guys were hilarious and I don't just mean the cullens, I mean even the humans were! Mike, Tyler, and Eric were perfect. When te go see it keep an eye on Mike especially and you'll see why I'm mentioning him exclusively. (haha) I'm very happy with the turnout and definitely do not think that it put a damper on the book. Before, I thought they were over-hyping it wayyyyyy too much and I was...

The Twilight heartthrob's leading lady loves his wit and his hair – and yes, he proposed to her

As "Twilighters" swoon with anticipation for the vampire flick's Nov. 21 opening giorno – almost 2,000 screenings are already sold out – Kristen Stewart says leading man Robert Pattinson has the killer looks for the job.

Stewart, who plays heroine Bella cigno in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling saga, agrees that her costar – featured in PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive issue – is "pretty sexy."

"Oh, he's like a little tortured artist. He's British. He's tall," the 18-year-old actress says. "He always looks like he's thinking about something. And he's quite witty. So he's pretty sexy."

And what about his much-admired hair?

"Yeah," Stewart agrees. "He never stops touching it. People Amore that."

Pattinson, 22, isn't so sure about his mane. "I don't get it. It's funny, te look the same for years and no one ever mentions it. Then suddenly it's a big deal. I kind of cut it a little bit the other day. It's not good having trademarks. te know te are doing something wrong."

Indigo has issued a press release stating their figures indicate that this anno Stephenie Meyers' Twilight series did più sales than J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series did last year, which included the final Potter book. Good timing for Twilight, of course, as the movie opens tomorrow. Haven't read the books? Don't fret, "Canada’s Twilight Saga headquarters" surely has plenty of copies left.

For more, read Mark's story (and interview with Meyers) on the occasion of the release of Breaking Dawn, the fourth and "final" book in the Twilight series.

Here is the full Indigo press release:

Young Canadians have been demonstrating their thirst for a good read as Indigo libri and Musica marks the sale this week of 600,000 copies of Stephenie Meyer’s page-turning Twilight series in 2008. The paranormal romance of Bella, Edward the vampire and Jacob the werewolf has become so popolare among young readers this anno that the Twilight Saga has eclipsed the number of Harry Potter libri sold at the Canadian bookstore in 2007, including the launch of the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart grace the cover of the new issue of Life & Style.

The on-screen couple recently lit up the red carpet at the Twilight premiere on Monday night with the rest of the cast.

An insider reveals the secrets behind the set about the couple to the magazine: “Kristen and Rob bonded from the moment they met. They got along so well that people were convinced they were secretly in love. She [Kristen] and Rob had a lot in common, and it didn’t take long for them to develop a very close relationship.”

The insider also had to share: “They were very touchy-feely around each other and they seemed to share a lot of inside jokes.”

Maybe there’s più than just movie magic going on, but we highly doubt it. Kristen, 18, has been dating actor Michael Angarano for, as she puts it, “forever.”

Hayley Williams' band Paramore just won mtvU's Woodie of the anno and currently sits atop the charts with the Twilight soundtrack. But that doesn't mean she can resist the fangs of the vampire series' main character Edward: "I'm in Amore with a vampire," she tells MTV.com.

And it's this affection for the Stephenie Meyer-penned vampire novels and their characters that influenced "Decode," Paramore's contribution to the film's soundtrack. "I was definitely pulling from things I read in the book," Williams said. "There's a few references. They might be a little bit vague, but I think that people who read the libri will get them."

LOS ANGELES -- The screaming was enough to wake the dead. o the undead.

And receiving the brunt of it? Angular, immaculately-coifed Brit Robert Pattinson, on stage in front of thousands of shrieking females at this past July's Comic-Con in San Diego.

Yes, his fellow Twilight cast members were there too, but it was the 22-year-old who had the throngs swooning. After all, for devotees of Stephenie Meyer's novels, Pattinson is Edward Cullen sprung to life.

Edward who? Don't worry. Even if te don't know him, te probably know a 'tweener o teenager who squeals at the mention of the virtuous vampire's name. No wonder on the Richter scale, the event registered somewhere between a Miley Cyrus concerto and the Rapture.

Yet it almost didn't happen. At least not with Pattinson, whose most famous role pre-Twilight was Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter movies.

"I didn't want to do a stupid teen movie," Pattinson says now. "I specifically hadn't done anything which anyone would see since Harry Potter, because I wanted to teach myself how to act. I didn't want to be an idiot. (Twilight) came kind of randomly, and I didn't...

Normally, a vampire flick heading to theaters would attract the typical genre o horror fan curious to the latest spin on the bloodsucker mythology. But there’s nothing typical about the absolute tidal wave of buzz surrounding the big screen adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s young adult skewing vampire tale, Twilight.

In the four years since Meyer’s released Twilight (the first book in the now completed four series), the book have sold più than 17 million copies in 37 languages, and maybe most importantly, spawned a fandom as passionate, vocal and obsessed over their work that most authors can only dream about. Granted a big reason for that kind of devotion is the Amore story at the center of the series – the forbidden kind between the human Bella cigno and the immortal vampire, Edward Cullen. Their story is exactly the kind of angsty, breathless affair that make women, young and old, swoon for and studio executives salivate over to convert to film.

The smart executives at smaller studio Summit Entertainment ended up acquiring the rights and now find themselves about to release what will assuredly be their biggest hit (and possible franchise) ever....

Bella cigno doesn't fall in Amore with overly-gorgeous guys across a crowded room. "Totally wrong" te say? "Not according to the books" te say? Talented 18-year-old actress Kristen Stewart who plays Bella in the upcoming Twilight film based upon the mega-popular novels, wasn't into Vampiri#From Dracula to Buffy... and all creatures of the night in between. growing up and has never fallen for a guy immediately just because he's beautiful.

Kristen is strong, opinionated, sure of what she wants and is fast getting a rep as one of Hollywood's most creative and capable young, hard-working actresses. Even in a spazio adventure film like Zathura, she left an impression as a fed-up older sis. She wasn't the typical screaming crazed killer-bait in the frightening The Messengers o Cold Creek Manor and isn't planning on letting her casting as the much-loved Bella, stop her from taking on radically-different roles. She'll play a damaged, 16-year-old stripper in an upcoming film. What she does have that closely compares to Bella is spunk. After meeting and talking with Kristen, I'm sure that Hollywood will never crush her spirit o typecast her.

He may have his arm around Kristen Stewart at every “Twilight” premiere event, and has been linked to a host of hot ladies over recente months, but Robert Pattinson is unattached, according to a new interview.

While visiting “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” for an episode that airs this Friday — the same giorno Pattinson’s vampiric portrayal of Edward Cullen springs to life on the big screen, he denied having romantic ties to anyone.

“Now, are te single?” Ellen asked.

“Ah, yeah,” the British actor replied.

And it appears despite women throwing themselves at him regularly, Pattinson may be stuck in singleton mode permanently.

“No one else seems to get into a relationship with me. It’s really strange,” he told Ellen.

“People like screaming at me,” the heartthrob added. “Actually, they like screaming at me in relationships as well. No one wants to commit.”

Absolute teen hysteria took over Westwood Village Monday night as “Twilight’s” immortal leading man, Robert Pattinson, descended on the red carpet for the movie’s premiere.

AccessHollywood.com’s “Dish of Salt” Laura Saltman was in the middle of the vampire-madness and witness to the thousands of screaming fans, known as Twi-Hards, who started lining up at 6 AM for a glimpse of the “Twilight” stars – especially Robert.

“He’s gorgeous,” “He’s really hot,” and “He’s good looking and talented!” are just some of the accolades that fan told Access when asked why people are going insane for the young actor.

“It is a little nuts, yeah” Robert told Access’ Laura. “It’s been like this for a week now! I’ve gone deaf!”

The 22-year-old seems to think the hysteria is about his character and not himself.

“Well, they’re in Amore with the character,” he said. “I really don’t claim anything… Everyone always says, ‘I’m in Amore with you’ and I’m like, ‘Why?’”

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Girl-meets-boy stories are not the usual stuff of Hollywood blockbusters, even when it's girl-meets-vampire.

Neither are stories created da women, with a predominantly female audience, shot on a bargain budget with a cast of relative unknowns and released da an independent distributor trying to establish a niche among Hollywood's half-dozen studio behemoths.

Yet Summit Entertainment has good reason to believe "Twilight" will have più box-office bite than your typical teen soap about an awkward high school babe and her cool new mystery beau.

"Twilight" has a few stunts and clever visuals, but it's far from the special-effects extravaganzas that dominate the movie business. It was shot for $37 million, a pittance compared with big studio Film that can cost four o five times more.

What "Twilight" does offer is epic star-crossed romance, melodrama, peril, an attractive young cast and an action-packed finale. But mostly, it has arguably the most passionate fan base of any literary adaptation since Harry Potter.

Is everyone obsessed with the twilight movie? It looks horrible!!! I mean does anyone have eyes o ears cause it doesn't seem like it. Robert is ok but he still isn't good enough. Kristin is BAD. She can't act at all. She is soooo monotone. And I thought Rosalie was supposed to be beautiful and Nikki is not very. Kellen, Jackson, and Ashley are fine but I haven't seen them in anything so I don't know if they're good actors o not. The only thing that looks good in the movie is Cam because he is hot and he's the only one that knows hot to act. Also whats up with all the big stupid changes like in the book I don't remember Edward leaving Bella at the car accident. Maybe because he didn't leave in the book and he stayed with her. Also when did the climb a albero in the book because I'm pretty sure they didn't.

Midnight Sun

Ever wonder how Twilight would be if it was told from Edward's point of view? Did te ever wonder what he was thinking in biology class as his pale white fists were clenched, o when he broke the boundaries between himself and bella in the meadow? It turns out Stephenie Meyer has been working on a book called Midnight Sun that is completly in Edward's perspective, and follows the same exact story as Twilight. The only problem is that people were illegally putting her rough draft on the internet and now Stephenie Meyer is most likely not going to pubblica the book. I had read the first chapter on her site and immediatly wanted more. Now there is a partial draft on the site but i am uneasy about Leggere it and just want to have a firm copy in my hand. I hope the book will be published for all Twilighters to enjoy. Just think, What would Edward do? Get out there and try your best to inform everyone about Midnight Sun and maybe there will be a better chance of this book being published.

Edward is amazing. That is why he is the best character of twilight because he really shows how much hes in Amore and protects bella through alot of troubles. Another reason why we would Amore edward would be because he is so hot!! hes the best looking in the movie! He is so GOOD looking...We all think that right? Cuz its so true!! hes awesome!!

In some very reassuring news, Reuters is reporting that Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to the rest of the saga!

It has hired "Twilight" scribe Melissa Rosenberg, a writer/producer on Showtime's "Dexter," to adapt the first two. "Breaking Dawn," has not attached a writer.

While this does NOT confermare that the rest of the libri will be turned into movies, this is certainly very good news for the franchise. We'll keep te updated!

UPDATE: Robert Pattinson has a few commenti about New Moon that he made to the Chicago Tribune:

A sequel [aka New Moon] may get the green light this month, he said.

"They will literally decide the successivo giorno o the giorno after" once the movie opens, Pattinson said. "I think they only have plans to do the secondo one. There's no script for the third one. The script is already done for the secondo one."
