Vimala Raman is an Indian film actress, model and a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She made her recitazione debut in the 2006 Tamil film Poi and went on to appear primarily in Malayalam and Telugu films.
Early life:
Vimala Raman was born into a Tamil family in Sydney, Australia.[1] She was brought up in Sydney, where she completed her education. She started practicing Bharatanatyam at the age of five. In 2004 she won the Miss India Australia titolo as well as the Miss India Australia cyberqueen title.[2] She moved to India in 2006 to pursue an recitazione career, which had been her childhood ambition.[3] When she entered the film industry, she was asked to change her name, however she was firmly against it, arguing that her name was her identity.[1]

She appeared in College Kumaran with Mohanlal and in Calcutta News with Dileep in 2008. Vimala Raman attended the Natanalaya Dance Academy based in Sydney, Australia. She studied dance under the tutelage of Jayalakshmi Kandiah. She is interested to do action roles because she is tall (5 feet 10 inches). She’ll be seen as Mangamma a police officer in an action movie.
In December 2010, Vimala will appear in Dam 999, an international movie directed da Sohan Roy.
