Wade Barrett has looked as strong as any heel in the WWE over the last few months, but nothing will get him over with the crowd like a win at the 2012 Royal Rumble.

With Barrett’s English background, it will be easy for the WWE to play him up as royalty after a win in the Royal Rumble, almost exactly how they did to Booker T after winning the King of the Ring.
I was never a huge Barrett fan, but he has always been a solid in-ring worker. The only thing that bothered me was his lack of elite mic skills. That being said, working behind the scenes after losing the serious push he was getting in 2010, Barrett has become very talented.
The English persona always works well because he can act like he is better than the crowd and draw some heat for that. Nothing can turn a crowd faster than hearing someone like Wade Barrett call your city garbage in his smug English accent.
It’s a recipe for success.
There are still domande about whether o not Barrett can help carry a card and I think they are founded. If he was to main event a PPV, the sales would be low. However, the WWE could fix all that da letting him win the Rumble and be the challenger for the titolo at WrestleMania.
With the Rock and John Cena main-eventing the show, Barrett’s Rumble win would be enough to make him relevant enough to be in a co-main event for the belt. da that time, the WWE will have shoved him down our throats for two months and we'll have no choice but to Amore him.
While there are più likely candidates, Barrett deserves a shot at glory as much as anyone. We’ll have to see if WWE agrees.
