Thie is something me and my friend are working on.
He returned that evening, feeling even worse. “Where were you?” Mercy met him on the front porch. She looked like she had been crying. Danny looked at her. It felt like a coltello had been shoved through his heart. He winced as he started up the stairs. “I went out.”
“Where?” Mercy’s hand reached for him. He pulled away and started into the house. “Danny...” Mercy’s voice followed him into the front room. “I was so worried. I thought….”
Suddenly, Danny couldn’t stand it any longer. Why did she have to Amore him? He turned to her. “That what?” He roared. “That I died?” Mercy nodded, più tears rolling down her already stained cheeks.

That ‘blood sucker’ Cole, dropped da the successivo evening, to see how things were going. Danny was lying on the couch, his eyes on the T.V., as he tried to ignore the voices in the front hall.
When he heard footsteps coming into the room, he closed his eyes, hoping he could pretend like he was asleep.
“Hey Danny.” Cole’s voice came from behind the couch, and Danny’s eyes shot open. He quickly closed them and gave a loud snore in response. He heard Cole sigh, as the footsteps came to a stop.
“Is he asleep?” Mercy’s voice sent another Slash through his heart, and Danny winced again. “No.” Cole’s voice was suddenly cold. “He’s ignoring us.”
Danny listed to Cole’s footsteps as he walked over to the T.V. and turned it off. The sudden silence was frightening.
“Danny, get up!” Cole moved over to the couch.

Cole sat in the old rocking chair da the fire. His pale skin and red eyes sent oca bumps down Danny’s arms.
“Mercy, could te leave us alone?” Cole asked, turning to Mercy. Oh great. The monster knew her name. “Don’t speak to her.” Danny was really getting angry now.
At first he thought it was because of his anger, but then the thumping in his ears grew louder….
With each pulse, his cuore throbbed. It was like it wanted to break through his chest. He didn’t think Mercy could handle seeing him in pain. He needed to leave the room, before she saw.
He rose slowly, trying to hold back his groans. He glanced at Mercy and Cole. They were to busy talking. Hoping he would make it to the hall before they noticed.
He took a baby step, then another. Thump! His cuore gave another weak beat, and then it felt like it exploded in his chest.
He cried out, unable to control the pain, and fell to the floor in a groaning heap.
“Danny!” Mercy screamed and he heard footsteps on the hard wood floor. “Mercy, don’t... Go to the other room!” Cole’s voice was right above him. Danny forced his eyes open.
Cole was leaning over him and he couldn’t see Mercy. “M-Mercy..?” Danny could hear the pain in his own voice. Cole bent over “Shh. She’s in the other room.”
The thought of Mercy not seeing him like this made him feel slightly better.
The pain was already agonizing and suddenly, it grew stronger. It traveled from his blood into his bones. He felt himself jerk forward.
“No!” Danny felt Cole’s weight on superiore, in alto of him. Danny groaned and felt himself falling into the darkness.
* * *
When Danny opened his eyes a few minuti later, everything was red, and his mouth was dry.
Cole was still leaning over him. “Better?” Cole asked when he noticed Danny had woken up. “What?” Danny felt a bit confused. The pain was gone and he suddenly felt weak.
It took him a full minuto to realize that Mercy wasn’t in the room. He tried to sit up. “Where is she?”
Cole pointed to the kitchen.
Danny nodded and started to stand.
Cole’s hand caught his shoulder and held him down.
“You don’t want to do that.” Cole’s voice was stern. Danny looked at him. “Why?”
“It won’t be sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza for her.”
Danny could only blink; Lost for words. “Won’t be safe?”
* * *
The smell was sweet, warm, and sort of reminded him of hot chocolate. It made his mouth water.
Whatever it was, he wanted it. BAD. Without thinking, Danny shoved Cole aside, nearly flinging him across the room, and staggered to his feet.
His legs felt heavy as he moved toward the smell, not even aware of its source. The kitchen, just down a short passage from the living room.
With another whiff of the smell he felt something inside his mouth change, like his teeth were rearranging themselves. There was no pain and to him it didn’t matter.
His feet slid over the floor boards. “Danny stop!!” Cole’s voice was followed da rushed footsteps.
Instantly, Danny spun around to face his follower. “It’s mine!” His loud hiss sent a chill down his spine. Cole froze in place only a stride behind Danny; a look of both horror and panic on his face.
“Danny, I know it’s hard,” Cole tried to sound calm, but his voice was shaking, “But te need to resist it. te don’t want…”
Danny momentarily forgot the smell and lunged for Cole. He hadn’t actually heard Cole’s words. To him, Cole was a threat. A threat that would prevent him from getting whatever was making that irresistible smell. Cole tried to dodge him, but Danny was faster. His fist collided with Cole’s chest, and for a brief moment Danny could see a look of surprise on Cole’s face as he was knocked off his feet. Cole flew across the room and slammed into the fuoco place.
Danny stood in the doorway to the kitchen, his eyes locked on Mercy’s still form on the floor. Mercy was sound asleep and lucky she was a very, very heavy sleeper. Danny longed to run over to her, but stopped. She was the fonte of the smell, o her blood. Danny held his breath and started backing into the hall, trying with all his might to keep moving. A secondo later, Cole rushed up behind him and pinned him against the wall. There wasn’t even a struggle as Cole led Danny away from the house and into the woods.
Cole led Danny a good distance from the house before he released his grip. Danny moved away from Cole Without even glancing up from the ground. “I almost killed her.” Danny’s shock had been replaced with uncontrollable guilt. “There are a few things I need to tell te about being a vampire.” Cole’s voice was hard. For the first time since leaving the house, Danny looked over his shoulder at Cole. “Oh now te tell me, after I nearly kill her!” Cole kept a straight face. “You wouldn’t listen before!” Danny scowled and stormed off into the dark trees. That had been true, he wouldn’t have listened, but now he didn’t want to hear it.
(At the house)
Mercy woke up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. “Danny? Cole?” She called. She stood up to get a snack from the fridge.
(Back outside)
Danny stopped and took a deep breath. Bad idea. He smelled Mercy again and started walking back to the house, as if hypnotized.
“Danny? Cole?” Mercy called once more. She hears the door open and saw Danny in the hallway, a strange look in his eyes. Danny looked at Mercy. Mercy ran over to Danny and hugged him. “I’ve been so worried about you.” She said. Danny detto nothing, but moved Mercy’s hair away from her neck. “Danny, what are you-“Mercy started to say, but stopped. She saw Danny’s fangs and she wanted to scream, but couldn’t. Danny’s fangs moved closer to Mercy’s neck. And closer, and closer……
“Danny, stop!” Cole yelled. Danny’s teeth were an inch away from Mercy’s neck when Cole pulled him away. Mercy staggered, confused. “W-what just happened?” She asked. Danny struggled. “Mercy, hide!” Cole yelled. Mercy ran into the other room, as Danny’s struggling slowly stopped. “Just kill me Cole.”

I thought it would be a good idea to try and write goodbye
but i was stuck when I realized there were too many lovely things to write about.
and not enough words invented yet to say them aloud.
and i know there are a number of things wrong with this,
but i really don't want to fix it right now.
i don't feel like doing anything but sitting upside down
but trust me, when it comes down
to having the choice of being right..
o protecting you, I'll be wrong every single time.
Because it's just who I am...
