Anyway, I think Omi and Chase had.. stronger reasons for what they did.
Chase, while was tricked and was tempted to be stronger, also believed that his friend was going to betray him- the feeling of betrayal can fuel a lot of rage, and it can make you do crazy things. He probably didn't think he had much else to lose, and he didn't know what exactly the soup would do. Hannibal's sly (which is bizarre to say, considering he's a freaking bean), and was able to trick those who he wished.
Omi was also tricked, and due to his nature, it makes perfect sense to that being a reason. Even when his good chi was returned to him, he still stayed to honor his committment, even if he didn't want to. (While Omi annoys me terribly, I do honor him at times.)
Raimundo, in a way, might make sense.. but not like the other two. His reason was probably the most childish, and caused by something so minor. To be upset, I understand, but he converted to evil because of this. He knew these people enough to know not to trust them, yet he went- he helped Wuya (who could destroy the world if in power), just because he wasn't moved up a level. Omi shouldn't of trusted Chase, either, but he's displayed as more niave and willing to trust people (and he's younger). The main reason he left Wuya in the end was because he was lonely without his friends- I get that, but he still put the world at risk for the sake of glory and a few video games.
Rai's was kind of sudden, and happened because he was annoyed about not becoming an apprentice with the others, so to actually switch sides was pretty extreme. Chase's was a more realistic reason, but I went with Omi in the end due to him generally being both naive and loyal. His naivety caused him to be easily tricked, and then his loyalty meant that he would force himself to keep to his word.
Chase actually seems next likely, since a thirst for power can easily drive someone to do horrible things. Omi...well, he was just honor-bound and did not make it as a true choice. Most people aren't that attached to their word, so I don't see it as "realistic".
