Rob is further described as a film preservationist and certified "cool dad," who has convinced himself that he’s happy with his newfound domesticity, but secretly longs for his old life of swing-dancing at The Derby and indie comedy night at Largo. But a chance encounter with Gretchen might give him the out he’s been looking for. 

Lexi is a Mini Cooper-driving green space architect, who traded her life of partying for one of pressed juice and preschool interviews. However, the delicate facade of her marriage is thrown into chaos when Gretchen enters her life.
