I woke up and looked at the calendar. My birthday. I wasn’t even the least bit excited because the woman who gave birth to me was gone. At least my real Dad would be attending. I looked at the time. I gasped. It was 9:30 and my alarm just went off! Who could’ve done this?! Robin. I walked out the door to find my dad waiting for me.
“Happy Birthday, sweetie” he whispered
“What’s so happy about it?” I growled
“I know your Mom would want te to celebrate without her. She would be proud of you. She would also want te to get dressed!” Green Arrow smiled. I gave him a grudging smile, then went back into my room and got dressed. I wore a dress Black Canary got for me. Green Arrow detto she wanted me to wear it on my fifteenth birthday. It was a white short chimono, kimono with black trimming. I wore black and white running shoes. I braided my hair down my back and put some black eye shadow on. I walked out and Green Arrow smiled.
“I’m glad the dress fits. Your mother saw it in this cute little oriental negozio on our honeymoon. She knew it would be perfect for you” my dad said. In case te didn’t know, my dad is Green Arrow and my mom is Black Canary. We walked down the hall to the lounge, where all the lights were off. I started to get suspicious because people should be in the lounge da now; it was almost 10:00. I brought out my fan which cut through rope, wood, glass, plastic, flesh and bone then entered. I turned the lights on and everyone jumped up yelling “Surprise!” I freaked out and jumped a good three feet in the air! Once I recomposed myself, I walked back in.
“What’s all this?” I asked, gesturing to the balloons, streamers and the cake.
“It’s your surprise birthday party” Kalder explained
“How did te find out it was my birthday?” I asked, glaring at my dad
“Don’t look at me” he laughed. I looked at Robin. He shook his head.
Kalder: “Nope”
Megan: “I just baked the cake!”
Wally: “Artemis told me!”
Artemis: “No I didn’t!”
Super Boy: he just shook his head.
Red Tornado: “I was informed this morning when they asked me to help decorate”
I looked at Batman because he was the only person left. The secondo my eyes rested upon him, he turned away. I grinned evilly.
“Hey everyone, guess what!” Batman’s shook his head frantically “In a couple of day’s, its Batman’s Birthday” I glanced over my shoulder and realized my dad was smiling proudly at me. I knew if Black Canary was here, she’d be doing the same thing. When I looked back, Batman had disappeared.
