I came out of the bathroom, steaming. I drew the water from my hair and placed it into the drain. I was wrapped in a rosa fuzzy robe, with lavender pj pants and matching shirt. I wasn't too crazy about the color choices, so I changed it to black pj's and oro robe. oro was my preferito color besides blue, and I was just used to black. "So," I began, walking towards everyone once again. "Is there a place to sleep?"
"For now, te may sleep on the couch, if that is alright," Aqualad responded.
"Yeah, that's fine."
I grabbed a cushion and K.F. gave me one of the spare blankets and I curled up in the couch. I had barely closed my eyes when the computer said:
"Recognized: BO1, Robin."
I adapted a silent breathing technique that Slade had taught me once. Ugh. Slade. I almost shivered at the thought of him.
"She asleep?"
"Yeah, she just went down. te get her stuff?"
"As much as I could," I heard Robin reply. He walked over and kneel down successivo to the couch. I noticed as he lifted my arm that he was extremely delicate. He placed a soft, fuzzy, and cushion-like object beneath my arm. Opening my eyes ever so slightly, I checked and saw it was my stuffed wolf. Object 1 was here. Then there was a small glint of oro and I tried not to smile. Object 2- a oro locket my mom had dato to me when I was little. Robin took the collana and clasped it from behind my neck. He then proceeded to brush my hair out of my face, and got back up. "She can't sleep here forever."
"We know," I perked my ears. When Batman intruded on the conversation, interesting things were bound to happen. "But is there anyone willing to house her?"
I sensed everyone look at each other. I knew something like this was going to happen. No one trusted the girl working on the other side. Then K.F. spoke up. "I don't think my parents would mind.,"
Miss M. also responded. "We could use one of the extra rooms, if we needed to."
Artemis now: "My mom would Amore to have her."
But now Zatanna brought up a good point- "If any of us sees her without her glasses on, though, we'll probably figure out who Robin is. And knowing that wouldn't be such a good thing for him."
Everyone realized she was right, and a moment of silence once again followed. Then Robin came to my rescue.
"I don't think it really matters much if they know who I am. Artemis already kind of found out-"
"What?" Batman interrupted.
"It was bound to happen, we go to the same freaking school! Anyways, it doesn't matter if te guys know. And for where she'll stay, that's easy. She'll stay with us."
I couldn't believe him- oh wait, yes I could. What I couldn't believe is what came next.
"I suppose that is the logical answer. I'm not too happy about everyone know who te are, but I guess if this is the best way then so be it."
My jaw almost dropped, even if I was lying on my side. Batman was actually agreeing to let me stay, even if his secret identity was exposed. Batman. Batman! My mouth twitched and I almost smiled.
But deep down I knew that Slade wasn't going to give me up that easy. He was going to come after me. And on that happy note, I fell into my sleep.
