So I'm 15, and already I have discovered the sad truth of the world, people hate others. Sure te may be thinking, "Duh! Of course people hate people! What are te stupid?" But, what I mean is that they HATE me cuz of something I believe in, and I am only 15. 15 and people want me dead o thrown out of America, o they want me to be converted o a slave o whatever. I am 15 years old, 15 and people my age want me dead because I'm atheist.

Apparently because of my lack of religion, I am a cold, heartless, soulless person. I am cruel and emotionless, and all opinions I have are false. 13 years...

Credit: This is not mine, I got it from iambilly.wordpress.com, and thought it was interesting and kind of funny.

"As I was leaving work today, I noticed an older woman sitting alone. She sat on one of those walker/stools which have become quite popular. I thought it odd as the park was closed. So I stopped to ask, “Are te waiting for a ride?”

She smiled at me and, in a beautiful North Carolina Piedmont accent, replied. “Oh, yes. My husband and I parked at the mall and he just walked over to get the car. So I hope he’s picking me up.”

I thought for a moment and realized that there may...

There has been thoughts on my mind a lot these last few days and I think its time I talk about them.

But before I go on, let me just say that I am NOT trying to make people angry o start a "war" on the 'net, I'm just gonna say how I honestly feel about all this.

When I go on the 'net, I discover tons of "religious wars" going back and forth over who's right o wrong about what people believe and the way they think.

To me, I choice to be in the neutral spot when it comes to things like this. Why? Because humans have become "one-sided" and are getting worse. Only focusing on one side causes fights...

"What happens when we're dead? The irony is that all our domande wil be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we'll find out what it is, is to get hit da a bus. And the only comfort that religion offers is that God is driving that bus." - John Ryman, When Galaxies Collide

"We would be 1,500 years ahead if it hadn't been for the church dragging science back da its coattails and burning our best minds at the stake." - Catherine Fahringer

1. I am the Lord your God, who brought te up out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

2. te shall have no other Gods before me.

3. te shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, o that is on the earth beneath, o that is in the water under the earth. te shall not bow down to them o worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and fourth generation of those who reject me. I had often heard people say that not believing in god requires the same amount of faith as believing.
After that, I was mostly feeling outraged. But it got me thinking. I decided that there is something wrong with equalizing atheism with religion, but not in the way I thought before.

Let me explain.

Atheism - god(s) doesn't (don't) exist
Theism - god(s) does (do) exist

At this point, atheism and theism have made the same number of assumptions about the universe (given that there is no evidence of either).
I can already see some of the believers all smug: "Aha, so not believing requires the same...

I found this on a website, and lets just say that it's one of the biggest FAILS I've ever come across. Clearly whoever made this has never learned about the Water Cycle, *facedesk*

"The amount of water on earth is 1.386x10^21 liters.

Lets assume that people will only use 2 liters of water per day. This is a lot less than people actually use, but for simplicity we'll only take the optimal drinking quantity per day.

There are 6 billion people on earth (closer to 7 billion, but let's be generous to the atheists). This means that we drink 12 billion liters of water per day. (12x10^9 liters)...

Okay. I resently joined this club. Before I start I would like to say that I HATE 'god' and Christinaty and all of it's insane(only insane) followers who think us normal people should respect their little imaginary freind.

I looked through some images, most of them had nice comments...but after I saw a few...I saw some CHRISTIANS commento on how angry they were o how they want to 'spread the word'.

All I want to consigli te Atheists is:
Don't reply to them, o if te reply just say '@[username]Get out, this spot ain't for you.', te know what they say, 'silence is golden'.

And all I want to tell...

Recently, I embarked on the exciting, educational quest of Leggere the Bible from start to finish As of right now, I’m still on the Genesis-read, no further than page fifteen, and already I feel a rant coming on, which is presumably just the first of many that I‘ll feel the urge to write while Leggere the Bible. Basically, the first major things that both bugged me, intrigued me, and didn’t seem to add up was the incest factor. Without further ado, I present Bible rants, part one!

Incest. Sure it is a different time period and stuff, but really, has it EVER been acceptable to marry and...

An Atheist's 10 Commandments

(1) Do not do to others what te would not want them to do to you.

(2) In all things, strive to cause no harm.

(3) Treat your fellow human beings, your fellow living things, and the world in general with love, honesty, faithfulness and respect.

(4) Do not overlook evil o shrink from administering justice, but always be ready to forgive wrongdoing freely admitted and honestly regretted.

(5) Live life with a sense of joy and wonder.

(6) Always seek to be learning something new.

(7) Test all things; always check your ideas against the facts, and be ready to discard even a cherished belief if it does not conform to them.

(8) Never seek to censor o cut yourself off from dissent; always respect the right of others to disagree with you.

(9) Form independent opinions on the basis of your own reason and experience; do not allow yourself to be led blindly da others.

(10) domanda everything.

As an atheist, I don’t believe in Satan/Lucifer, but the character as a rebellious figure has some appeal. I think a lot of atheists agree. The Church of Satan is a just a group of atheists who admire the figure and want to piss off Christians. Now, Satan wouldn’t be a just leader, but on the other hand, neither would God. The only reason God is good is because God is first and gets to define what good is for his people. This is not good as humans, specifically modern Westerners, would typically define morality. I find a Doctor Who storyline to inadvertently illustrate God’s tyranny and...

Religion argues with Atheism that it should rule. Since the end of the overused God argument doesn't seem to be near, Logic and Science suggest they throw a dice. If Religion guess the number, it can be in charge. Science provides an ordinary dice.

Religion: "Five."
Atheism: "Anything else and te lose."
Religion: "I won't lose."
Atheism: "We'll see about that."
Logic: "Ok, are te ready?"
Religion and Atheism: "Yes!"

They throw the dice. Unfortunately it, while still turning, rolls under a heavy closet.

Atheism: "Oh come on!"
Religion: "It's five."
Logic: "You don't know that. It's five to one against."...

"As an atheist, te will occasionally meet a non-atheist who wishes to argue against your belief system. If te are interested in discussing the matter, te may want to prepare yourself da learning these simple responses to common anti-atheist arguments.

The Bible says that atheism is wrong.

"The Bible also says some guy's donkey talked."

If te believe in God and are wrong, then it's no big deal, but if te don't believe in God and are wrong, you'll be punished eternally, so it's not a good idea to be an atheist.

3. Why do te believe atheism is a justifiable position to hold?...

Can I still be SPIRITUAL without religion?

Some people don't understand how one can have spirituality without a belief in a god but the two do not need to be related. Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, is considered to be one of the most spiritual figures in human history. Buddha never expressed o supported a belief in a god. He even discouraged his followers from such speculation, preferring that they work on their salvation in this world.

Spirituality is the sense of feeling connected to everything around us in a way that is beyond our human understandings. One can recognize the mystery and...

1)You are not supporting all of the attacks on personal freedom and harm that comes with supporting the Bible as an infallible fonte of truth.

2)You are free to explore the Universe's TRUE beauty and mysteries, even when it contradicts ancient mythology. The grandeur of the universe is far beyond the imagination of any religion.

3)You are free to learn your true origins and connection to the universe.

4)The time that would be spent at church o with church groups can now be used for più productive means.

5)Instead of worrying what Jesus...

First off, I'm going to say a few things. Yes, I categorized this as news. Second, I believe Gesù existed. Not as a holy being, but as a good, respectable guy who preached his religion, as a historical figure . But, using the Bible's own logic, I'm going to try and collapse the whole holy image of Gesù and leave the picture of a man. Imperfect, sure, a religious dude, but I don't have a problem with religious people. I was raised Christian (my parents don't know I'm an atheist), but off of the idea that Gesù was not perfect.
NOTE: This whole delicate articolo is balancing on the fact that...

"Being an atheist (being non-religous) is a lot easier than being of any other religion - because it isn't a religion! Doesn't get any simpler than that, does it? If te want to be Christian, there's all kind of little annoyances that follow with it that just make te want to say "Oy Vey!" and give up. Same thing goes for being Jewish (wearing dumb hats in public), Muslim (starting holy wars and wearing veils), Buddhist (setting yourself on fire) and every other major religion. For example...
