What Would Have Happened in Season 9: While Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Susan Sullivan, Molly Quinn and Toks Olagundoye were all expected back, neither female lead Stana Katic nor Tamala Jones were invited to return. What would a Beckett-less mostra have looked like? According to sources, Kate still would have survived the shootout with LokSat stooge Caleb Brown, though one scenario had her being compelled to fake her death and unisciti some sort of superspy organization. As such, instead of the “happy family” flash-forward tacked onto the finale, there would have been a time jump when Season 9 opened, during which Rick already grieved.
