OK, so we have all just finished watching the amazing and EPIC TVD episode entitled "The Last Dance". As a Bamon shipper, I of course, was very pleased with the episode. I thought that it really did offer a lot of progress in terms of the Bamon dynamic. What I loved about last night's episode was that the plan that they came up with together was a joint project. Both of them were on the same page and both of them wanted to protect Elena and make sure that she is sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza from Klaus. So in that sense, both Damon and Bonnie had a mutual understanding for the sake of Elena. But for me, that is not all that I saw when it came to Damon and Bonnie last night. Even though both Damon and Bonnie both share a mutual Amore for Elena and the need to protect her and keep her sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza from harm at all costs, Damon and Bonnie have something significantly deeper then what is on the surface right now on the show. Like I have detto many times before and in my last article, Damon and Bonnie greatly understand each other - FROM THE INSIDE. Last night, I couldn't help but notice that for Damon and Bonnie to understand each other; no words were needed for them to communicate with one another. It was so natural between them and this to me, only confirmed now più then ever on the show, that Damon and Bonnie do indeed have a connection and don't even realize it.
Right now, both Damon and Bonnie are so inherently concerned and focused on protecting Elena and saving her life that Damon and Bonnie don't even realize how much they really do understand each other. Like SCARILY understand each other. This is going to sound really strange, but last night when I was watching Damon and Bonnie's interactions with each other, I felt like I was watching Damon and Bonnie as one person. Their reactions were the same, their communication was uncanny, every interactions between them were not interactions of two people, but interactions which were one, which were the same. When Bonnie was concerned, Damon was concerned. When Damon was amused, Bonnie was amused. When Bonnie was worried and frightened, Damon was worried and frightened and I don't know if anyone else noticed that but I really did notice it in last night's episode. What I am basically trying to say is that when it comes right down to it, to me, Damon and Bonnie may be two separate people but they are the same, they are one. However, Damon and Bonnie don't know this o realize it, because they both have their separate individual journeys and outlooks on their spiritual evolvements. Damon and Bonnie are so much alike in a lot of ways and they have so much in common yet at the same time, they are opposite in some ways. Last night, I admit that I was a little bit freaked out with how similar Damon and Bonnie are in a lot of ways. An example of this is the fact that when both Damon and Bonnie feel about something, THEY BOTH FEEL DEEPLY, STRONGLY AND PASSIONATELY ABOUT IT. Nothing is half-ass o "middle of the road" when it comes to both Damon and Bonnie as people. Whereas right now, Bonnie is più selfless and Damon is più selfish in his actions, the way that these two individuals feel about something o a subject is highly passionate and intense. Just like when Damon and Bonnie Amore someone, THEY REALLY Amore SOMEONE. Also in terms of trust and respect. When Damon trusts you, HE REALLY TRUSTS YOU. The same for Bonnie. When Damon respects te and admires you, HE REALLY ADMIRES YOU. And the same goes for Bonnie as well. To me, Damon and Bonnie are mirror immagini of each other, nothing more, nothing less. And this especially showed in last nights episode.
I have read and heard many Bamon fan who were either angry, upset o frustrated da Damon's last words to Elena at the end of the episode last night. But in my opinion, they didn't really phase me o bother me that much at all. Why? Because to me, it felt più like a foreshadowing of Damon/Bonnie's future relationship/dynamic. The TVD TV mostra may not be exactly like the libri but let me tell te one thing. If this mostra is based off of the novel series da L.J. Smith, then they know how inherently and extremely important the Bamon dynamic and connection is throughout this series. I am 100 percent certain that both KW and JP know and understand how important Damon/Bonnie and their dynamic is to this entire series. Because if there is one thing that the TV mostra should follow when it comes to this entire series, it is most definitely the relationship dynamics. Stelena, Bamon and Delena are the MAIN and MOST important relationship dynamics in the entire series. The friendships such as Elena/Bonnie and Meredith/Bonnie and Elena/Bonnie/Meredith, etc; those are all supporting relationships. The most important characters in this entire series are ELENA, STEFAN, DAMON AND BONNIE. L.J. Smith didn't create the character of little Bonnie McCullough in the libri just so she can play tag-along with o sidekick to Elena throughout the series. Bonnie may be the best friend of Elena in this series and she may be a psychic/witch who is incredibly purposeful and resourceful but that is not Bonnie McCullough's main purpose in this entire series. In all honesty, BONNIE'S MAIN PURPOSE IN THIS ENTIRE SERIES IS DAMON. Always has been, and always will be. Why do te think L.J. Smith implemented such a meaningful, deep, intense and indescribable connection between these two characters in her own books/series? Two characters in the books, who are rather so different opposite from each other on the outside in terms of physical attributes, strength and outside personalities. Why do te think L.J. Smith would even bother making a connection of some sorts between D/B if Bonnie was only meant to play loyal, die-hard sidekick to Princess Elena in the libri series? What I am basically trying to say is that in the series, both in the libri and now on the TV show, BONNIE'S MCCULLOUGH'S (BENNETT'S) CORE AND MAIN PURPOSE IN THIS ENTIRE STORY IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN DAMON SALVATORE. Everything that she does in this story, somehow goes back to Damon, believe it o not, especially in the books. And Damon, the same goes for him. The same way that Bonnie's core purpose in the story is Damon, Damon's main and core purpose is Bonnie. Why in the hell does Damon keep saving Bonnie's life in throughout the series if this wasn't the case? The proof is in the budino and the proof is in L.J. Smith's own Scrivere and own story. BONNIE IS DAMON'S SUBCONSCIOUS AND HIS HUMANITY. This goes for the libri and the TV mostra and last night's episode only proved that even più to me then ever before.
While what Damon may have detto about Bonnie to Elena last night about how if it came down between Elena's life and Bonnie's life and him saying that he would let Bonnie die and sacrifice herself and afterwards saying "I'll always choose you" may have sound like such a bastard thing to say, to me, I didn't and still don't take it to heart. We all know that Damon is a character who often uses snark and says a lot of words and things that he doesn't necessarily mean, trying to cover up what he really feels DEEP INSIDE HIS INNER SOUL. This is why I repeatedly keep saying that Elena Gilbert is Damon Salvatore's conscious and Bonnie McCullough/Bennett is Damon's Salvatore's subconscious. Damon may have detto those words outwardly to Elena, the same way that he detto back 2.08 Rose, that he loved Elena, but that is what they are: THEY ARE JUST WORDS. Words don't mean anything. Just because someone says something, it doesn't make it REAL o TRUE. And this is why I was especially frustrated and taken back when some fellow Bamonators reacted to Damon's commento about Bonnie the way that they did last night. I know we all want Damon to all of a sudden admit that he cares for Bonnie, but it doesn't work like that. Real and true Amore doesn't work like that, especially when one o two people involved in the dynamic aren't ready to even admit it. I don't expect Damon to magically just fall in Amore with Bonnie after one freaking episode. Just like I don't expect Damon to all of a sudden stop obsessing over Elena after one episode. Because it doesn't work like that. I may hate and despise Delena with an undying passion, but te know what? i realize that what Damon is currently feeling for Elena is ultimately good for him, no matter how healthy and toxic it may be. Because for me, it is purely for Damon's spiritual and personal growth on his journey into finding himself, his individualism and what he stands for. On the show, Damon is never going to realize what he feels for Bonnie Bennett deep down inside in the future, unless he endures these feelings that he has for Elena at the moment. What I am basically trying to say is that even as someone who despises Delena as a romantic relationship, I see it as purposeful, it is serving a purpose for Damon and it is basically giving him the opportunity to learn many life lessons in this time. Basically, Damon loving Elena the way that he does right now is "preparing" him for Bonnie for the future. I can't make it anymore clearer but for Damon: KATHERINE = PAST, ELENA = PRESENT, BONNIE = FUTURE. That goes for BOTH the book series and the TV series. It is highly essential for Damon to "love" Elena right now, even though they may be unhealthy and obsessive because for me, it is and always has been strictly for his personal growth and evolvement as an individual.
After last night's episode, NOBODY can tell me that Damon doesn't care about Bonnie at all whatsoever. Anyone who is trying to say otherwise is full of shit. Damon displayed much genuine concern over her survival and in my opinion, there were many points throughout the episode where Damon looked downright conflicted when it came to Bonnie and her survival rates when it comes to fighting Klaus and protecting Elena at the same time. Another thing that really stood out for me and proved to me that Damon subconsciously cares about Bonnie is the fact that Damon gave Bonnie a say and a choice about the whole situation, yet I don't think both Damon and Bonnie realized it because they were so focused and concerned with Klaus and Elena. For the first time, DAMON GAVE SOMEONE A CHOICE. On this entire mostra so far, DAMON NEVER REALLY GIVES ANYONE A CHOICE. Not even his own brother, Stefan. And most certainly not Elena. Damon plays constant strict bodyguard to Elena, instead of giving her a choice whereas when it comes to Stefan, Stefan always gives Elena a say and a choice and lets her think for herself. What Stefan normally does with Elena da giving her a say and choice was what Damon did with Bonnie last night, yet Damon and even Bonnie don't even realize it because there is so much chaos going on due to the situation that they are all in. Damon also showed that he genuinely cared about Bonnie when he looked at her "unconscious" body lying on the floor and actually looking genuinely in pain o hurt, as if he never ever wants to see that happen to Bonnie ever. What I got from that scene between Damon and Bonnie was a CONFLICTED DAMON. He genuinely looked conflicted because he feels so incredibly scared deep down inside of him that this could really happen to Bonnie and that she can in fact, end up dead da taking on Klaus. In that scene between Damon and Bonnie when he gently stroked and brushed her cheek and shut her eyes,I SAW DAMON'S SUBCONSCIOUS. It was all Damon's subconscious. Because like I have repeatedly said, Bonnie is Damon's subconscious, yet Damon doesn't realize his subconscious (Bonnie) because his subconscious is severely overpowered da his conscious (Elena). And this is why Damon detto those words about Bonnie to Elena last night. Because like Damon has been doing for the past 145 years, he has been letting his conscious rule him instead of giving his subconscious a chance to have a say in what he thinks, does and FEELS. DAMON IS RUN da HIS CONSCIOUS. And the reason why this is so is because Damon doesn't know himself, his individualism and most of all, HE DOESN'T Amore AND ACCEPT HIMSELF. And because Damon doesn't accept himself deep down within himself, Damon can't accept his subconscious hence why he chooses to deny his subconscious (Bonnie) and therefore, incessantly let his conscious speak for him over and over again. But the issue with this is that because he lets his conscious run him and who he is as an individual, he always ends up hurt, heartbroken and miserable because of it. The reason why Damon is so unlucky with Amore is because when it comes to Damon and love, he let's his conscious take over completely. Instead of letting his subconscious have a say just for once, he chooses to avoid it and not listen to it. This goes not only for mostra Damon but also for Book Damon as well. Damon is miserable and unhappy because HE WON'T LET HIS SUBCONSCIOUS COME THROUGH. He lives through his consciousness and that is why Damon has such a roller coaster of an existential crisis. But then again, this is what Damon's spiritual journey and evolvement is all about. If Damon happened to let his subconscious have a say, he wouldn't act the way that he has been recitazione for the past 145 years and he wouldn't feel so incredibly miserable, abandoned and lonely. At the end of it all, it really is Damon's choice. Damon's choice lies in his own hands. Damon's destiny is right in front of him (Bonnie) and he's choosing to deny it because his conscious is constantly telling him to. It's his destiny and he can choose to deny it (by continuously obsessing over Elena) o he can choose to accept it (by coming to terms with whatever he feels deep down for Bonnie). Because that is the only way that is going to guarantee that Damon is going to find happiness. Nobody can choose for Damon and nobody can make Damon choose. He has to want to choose himself and it's either unhappiness o happiness. Nobody is responsible for Damon being happy o miserable, not Elena, not Stefan, not Caroline, not Alaric, not Bonnie. IT'S ALL ON DAMON. And this is why I will never have any respect for fan of this series who bash characters and blame characters for Damon's actions. Damon's actions are HIS and ONLY HIS.
So, whether Damon finds happiness in the series really is all up to him. I would just like to say that after Damon detto those words to Elena about choosing Elena's life over Bonnie's life that after Elena left Damon's room, Damon's face showed some inner conflict in regards to Bonnie and her life. But again, he was trying to deny it da covering it up with his conscious. Yet again. So when Damon detto 'I'll always choose you" to Elena, that was Damon's conscious and Damon's conscious only. But his subconscious was a completely different thing all together. In my opinion, the conflict that I saw on Damon's face after Elena had left his room after their conversation was his subconscious (really deep down concerned and scared for Bonnie's survival). But like I said, he chooses to deny it. And honestly, I really think that the mostra is doing a good job of selling Damon's inner conflict when it comes to Bonnie really well. Because it is when it comes to Bonnie Bennett, that Damon Salvatore displays any kind of actual internal conflict whatsoever. And that is when it makes Damon so much più complex and interesting as a character in this series. So, we all have to be patient and let the Bamon dynamic/connection grow naturally and organically. An example that I could use to compare Bamon's dynamic is Clark/Lois from Smallville. Clark's conscious was Lana and Clark's subconscious was Lois. But Clark, like Damon, consistently chose to deny his subconscious, therefore Clark didn't realize his connection with Lois till much later on. It took much spiritual evolvement on the part of Clark Kent for him to realize that Lois Lane is his subconscious and that she is the woman who was meant for him and the woman that he really truly loves with both his cuore and soul. This is going to happen to Bamon in the future and I am 100% confident that it will be epic and organic when the time is right. Because after all, Bonnie is Damon's future, the same way that Lois is Clark's future. We all just have to be patient and stay positive and let the epicness that is Bamon evolve and grow with time. Because when it's explored, it will be, da far, the most epic, organic and beautiful relationship/dynamic on TVD.
Thank te for reading.
Right now, both Damon and Bonnie are so inherently concerned and focused on protecting Elena and saving her life that Damon and Bonnie don't even realize how much they really do understand each other.
