delena ARE o SHOULD be the endgame because ?

First, Delena have to overcome so many obstacles and endure so much suffering and pain. Damon has been misunderstood, rejected and tortured during all of his existence, and we were shown his face closely while he had nobody at his side, was over and over turned down o stood aside as he watched other people’s happiness; his story is about at last being loved and developing self-esteem through that. In combination with being a “universe-puppet”, Elena’s existence was full of mourning as she Lost one loved one after the other; her story is about finally enjoying life and allowing herself to do that. DE’s Amore story is about two broken people that complete each other and provide perfectly what the other needs [Stefan’s story is about growing up and facing reality, after being a “universe-puppet”, after always having been chosen and loved, and after always getting away with everything and never taking responsibility (his “ripper side”, his Amore for Katherine, …)]. But everything that Delena went through in combination with how they got through all of the difficulties and pain, with Elena keeping her forgiving and understanding nature and Damon proving an incredible selflessness, make DE deserve their happily ever after. And we fan deserve that with them because we – even doomed to “only” watch without influence – went through all of their problems and all of their suffering with them. We had to orso the uninformed o just mean talk inside of the story as well as the misleading and meant-to-upset talk outside of it, as we had to wait VERY long for Delena to at last find their way to each other.

That leads to the successivo point, which is the extremely slow build up that DE’s relationship went through over YEARS, while the development had been shown in detail and Delena improved their characters to their best version. So much is thrown at them and they survive everything and get steadily closer, their relationship stronger and their Amore deeper. And it is also important how the relationships are presented with DE’s true Amore being “most real”, Damon recitazione on his good cuore and Elena becoming a strong young woman while SE ignore and pretend. They are drawn to each other da a spell and Elena was the “scared little girl that couldn’t admit what she wanted” because Stefan (unintentionally, I have to admit) kept her weak. And now, Stelena are destroyed romantically for good and for the first time develop a relationship between them carefully – their friendship –, after they were once only thrown together da a curse without any build up.
