Everbody knows that when Light/Kira died it would be Ryuk who wrote his name down, but that is NOT why he killed him. The reason Ryuk killed him is because he had been caught and they could no longer have any fun together, he didnt want to watch Light/Kira grow old in a jail cell.
When I see domanda like this I wonder did u even watched the whole show?! He killed him bcs first human who forms contract with Shinigami, in short he has to start killing people, his name will be written in Shinigami's Death†Note and Shinigami will make his life longer. The equation goes like this... His death if he didn't use Death†Note minus his age of death if he used the Death†Note equals Ryuk's added years for living.... *note Shinigami is immortal for killing him, but he would die from old age* Hope I helped, but u should figure that out yourself... :P
oh i do know that but i was wondering is that shinigami in the begining really light? if so why did he turn into a shinigami while misa and all others who used the death note didnt end up as a shinigami?
Because thats a rule in the book. The Shinigami gets to kill the person holding the death note. Though I don't think Ryuk got much life (Since killing humans are how shinigami stay alive) From Light.
Ryuk killed Light not because his name was written in the Death note.He killed him because Light was ment to die,he would either get out of blood,got killed da a bullet through his head o anything else,because it was ment to be,so Ryuk didn't see why doesn't he kill him before anything of that happens.
In the Anime it was probably for the fun of it but in the manga ryuk specifically killed him for the reason because Light asked ryuk to help him kill Near. In Ryuk's own words he Lost all fun in Light's journey and killed him
if te followed the series te would know that ryuk explained to light yagami that if he used deathnote he would go to neither heaven nor hell...and that ryuk would be the one to kill him.
Did te watch Death Note? Let me explain. Ryuk, Kira's shinigami killed Kira because it is the official agreement between the shinigami and the death note owner that the shinigami writes his o her name in the death note when it is time for that person to die. Kira had a possibility of going to jail and Ryuk didn't want to wait the whole time. That's why he killed him. Brush up on your death note facts.
Becuase the first human who picks up the Death Note can be killed da thier Shinigami. Ryuuk new Light was going to die, and if he did survive, he didn't want to be sitting in prison with him for the rest of his life. - M.
Well to me,if Ryuk didn't intervene he wouldn't have been able to do his side of the deal.He was bleeding out pretty bad if te guys remeamber him being shot.There was a high chance he would have died of blood loss if he didn't kill him first
light (or kira if te prefer) was shot multiple times, so death was inevitable. as for the reason why ryuk killed light, to him the 'show' was over, ryuk is a spectator, not lights helper. (with a few exceptions)
Light lose so ryuk fun of watching him is over so he want to end it himself da killing light since he lose and probably would go to jail so yeah there is no reason for him to stay around watching light in jail
I know I'm rather late to respond, but I just rewatched the mostra for the 3rd time and figured I'd go to some old sites. Ryuk tells Light at the end that he 'doesn't want to wait' because if Light had someone managed to hold off till the police came,Ryuk would have been stuck until Light died. Besides, Light went to the place to die anyway,Ryuk just sped things up.
I have 3 answers. Anyone can be true. One: Ryuk felt Light would get caught da the Police and he thought Light would spend a long time in jail, which is boring for Ryuk. Two: If a Shinigami writes a human being's name in his Death note, he will get his remaining life span. So, as he knew Light would be rewarded a long time in jail, he didn't want to see Light grow old, as it is boring. So, maybe that is he killed Light. 3:Before Light died, he was wounded heavily. Ryuk didn't want to see Light suffer. After all, Light gave him apples and Entertainment. And as he did not have feelings for Light, he killed him without hesitation.
