Hate is a very strong word, so let's say I dislike with a passion, M'kay? I dislike Light the most. First of all, he was the cause of L's premature death (and many others). But I wouldn't have liked him even if he never found the notebook. When he lost his memories he acts all righteous and junk, while being absolutely perfect. It sickens me. There are way too many anime characters with God complexes. I also dislike with a passion Aizawa and Takada. Aizawa's a meanie head who's way too serious and Takada, well, there's obvious reasons I dislike her. One: her personality. Two: Developing a relationship (or what she thought was a relationship) with Light when she knew he was 'with' Misa. Hoebiscuit. Three: Let's just say.... R.I.P Mello & Matt :'(. I also kind of don't like Mr.Yagami. He irks me for some reason. Matsuda is an annoying git, Misa acts like a typical teenage girl (excepting teenage girls like me,of course, who are totally awesome-possum), Demegawa is an obnoxious fatty, Snyder doesn't like Mello (which is reason enough to shun him), Mikami is a freak, and the random kid in the first chapter is a jerkface too. Many others I don't care to list also. You know what? It might've been easier to ask which characters I DO like. Just saying.

(sigh) How many times do I have to say this... if you dont like a character, you dont like the show. They all have thier important roles to play! and the show would not be complete without all of them!

@Animeanimal: nonsense, you can dislike a particular character but otherwise enjoy the show. This thread is a perfect example: we're all Death Note fans, and love a lot of the characters, but some characters just grind on our nerves--and sometimes, they are supposed to.

Characters I don't like:
Takada: Well on top of the fact that she killed Mello and was responsible for Matt's death, she was just a bitch.
Rem: Who kills L for Misa? WTF?
Aizawa: He's too tight laced
Higuchi: He is gross and creepy
Light: He had L killed. I am 50-50 with Light. I love him yet hate him. Without him there would have been no show, yet I still just can't stand him.

Light- he got L killed, I will NEVER forgive him for that.
Takada- she got Matt and mello killed. And I LOVE my Matt.
Mello- hes kinda funny but I don't really care for him...
Rem- she helped L get killed, which can NOT EVER be forgiven.
Misa- also helped get L killed. So I HATE her

Characters I love with all my heart!

I really couldn't stand watching Near.
His emotionless face (other than creepy pedo smiles) was boring and had no real character. Also he has never walked! Like never has he made one step, it's either him sitting on the floor, twirling his hair or standing for a brief moment with glowing eyes just to settle down and sit again! Even Mello was more interesting. I do agree with Light being taken down but WHY WAS IT NEAR! I would have rather seen Light win unless L took him down. Now that would have been cool :D
