Introverted intuition (Ni): Cinderella is a bright young woman, independent and a dreamer with an idealistic view of the world. She remains stoic and optimistic despite the conditions she’d been brought up in, and firmly believes that her future will get better even though she hadn’t been rewarded for her inner strength and hard work before; Cinderella doesn’t have any evidence that would lead her to believe this, but she trusts her instincts and feels that her future is brighter. Cinderella is shown to trust her intuition. As soon as she meets the prince, Cinderella intuitively knows that he is her true love and immediately falls in love with him. Cinderella is fairly spacey, but she takes pride in her dreams to find love and to be freed from her job as a maid to her stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella is not as in tune with her surroundings as she should be- at the ball, she allows time to slip away and becomes unaware of what the time is. She patiently waits for her dream to become a reality, and is excited about the idea of going to a ball, as the invitation is an opportunity for Cinderella to finally make her dream come true.

Extroverted feeling (Fe): Cinderella spends all of her time serving people who are unappreciative and inconsiderate of her feelings, and she appears to remain content taking care of the needs of others. However, at times Cinderella doesn’t keep her feelings perfectly under control, obeying orders half-heartedly and sighing irritably in the process. She (understandably and rightfully) breaks down after her stepsisters tear her dress to shreds and allows her emotions to get to her, almost giving up on her short-term dream of attending the ball. She values harmony and prefers not to fight against her stepmother and stepsisters. Cinderella believes that “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” indicating that her feelings are completely invested in her dreams. Cinderella is far more stoic and in control of her emotions than the average Fe-user, and this could be as a result of her abusive upbringing.

Introverted thinking (Ti): Cinderella is logical enough to understand that her situation is not going to get any better if she fights back, or if she doesn’t take action, making the decision to complete her chores and then make her own dress to go to the ball.
