Hi guys, it's been ages since I haven't written a comparison articolo and since I'm going to watch The Lion King live-action reboot in July with my younger autistic brother and our dad.

The Story

While the story is original 20%, some of te may not know that The Lion King is loosely based on Shakespeare's "Hamlet: Prince of Denmark". Only this time, the setting was changed from 14th century Denmark to Africa and from humans to animals!
The famous ghost scene in both stories play an essential part of the story, especially in the Lion King. Since Simba needs to assume his responsibilities as King of the Pride Lands, whereas in Hamlet, the titolo character's father was assassinated da Claudius (Hamlet's uncle) prior to the events of the play.
Finally, the ending is very different from one another, mainly because Disney is well-accustomed to the Happy Ending from precedente adaptions of their original fairy-tale endings, Hamlet dies and Fortinbras, prince of Norway succeeded the Danish trono while Simba lives to see his Uncle Scar killed da his allies!

The Characters

Hamlet and Simba are very much like each at some point in the Lion King, mainly because they wonder who murder their respective fathers. Unfortunately, Simba was brainwashed da his wicked Uncle Scar that he murdered his father during the stampede, it was not until that Scar confessed to Simba during the confrontation scene at the end!
Whereas the spirit of Hamlet's father came and told his son that his uncle murdered him prior to the events of the story, both Hamlet and Simba must take their father's place to the throne.
Speaking of Scar, he strikes me as a psychopath who does not seem to feel remorse on killing Mufasa unlike his Shakespearean Danish counterpart, Claudius.

To Be o Not To Be?

So, do te all agree with all of these points? Hope that te enjoy the live action reboot this coming July!

When Minnie, Scrooge, and Webby entered the Cibo court they were greeted da an array of frilly girly decorations, everything from hearts, to unicorns, to rosa streamers. As soon she saw them Webby exclaimed, “Oh, Pretty! I want my room to look like that!”

Minnie giggled and said, “It is pretty, just a little too much for my taste.”

Scrooge laughed, and said, “Aye, this place has più frills then me money bin has coins.” Then he noticed that his knees were still aching from the fall, “Um… I believe I need to sit down. My legs are still just a wee bit sore.”

“Oh well, let’s...

After Webby had finished practicing her dance routine the pageant, she went up to her room to play. Meanwhile, downstairs in the breakfast nook, Scrooge and Minnie were sitting at the tavolo drinking coffee and discussing the gossip articles. “Uncle Scrooge, do te have any I idea who might written these articles?” Minnie asked as she stared at the foto of them in the money bin.

Suddenly they heard...

Alright, if te were to ask me what the best animated film I've seen in 2013 is so far (And I can only see Frozen maybe replacing), I would say it was Monsters University. It's not that it didn't have that much competition, though to be fair, The Croods is about the closest any film has come to outdoing it so far, but it's just... I thought this movie was great and while it's not exactly hated da the general public, I still think it's underrated with the members of Spillcom seeming to be the only online reviewers who actually agree with me. (Save for Co-host who gave it the same treatment he...

The UK Bambi VHS anteprima is freaky in my opinion. When i was little in the late 90's o early 2000's, the UK Bambi VHS anteprima freaked me out. I never wanted to watch it again because it freaks me out and is the worst anteprima ever. John Sachs used to say, "One of Walt Disney's Greatest Classic comes to video this spring. This is Bambi!" "Bambi, he's growing up, falling in Amore and learning all about the world around them. And now he's coming home along with some of Disney's most well-loved characters. It's the unforgettable magic of Bambi. Get ready for the major video event. Walt Disney's Classic, Bambi! Don't miss it." That's what John Sachs used to say in the old days.
