I don't overly like either, but The Little Mermaid is an extremely good quality film. Plus in The Rescuers Down Under they way they portray the Aussie's is so boring.

I personally prefer this because of bias, as I live in Australia and the animation in the movie is some of the best. I have to agree with Animated_paint as the way they portray Australian is not correct. I also love the Little Mermaid but I have always found the two main characters selfish.
