I just love this movie. I feel like The Lion King is really overrated. I mean, it is really amazing, a masterpiece even- but when I re-watched it for the first time in years recently, I was really underwhelmed. It just wasn't as incredible as I was expecting based on what everyone says about it.
The Little Mermaid is just a really pleasing story. It's simple, but still interesting, has a great cast of characters, and is just an overall really nice film that I just enjoy watching. There's really nothing bad to say about it, and I personally think it lives up to its reputation.

A few months ago, I thought The Lion King was overrated, because when I was little, I never reality got the appeal about it. But about a month and a half ago, I watched it, and I couldn't find any flaws, the characters were developed, the score and songs were enjoyable, the animation was beautiful. It truly is a masterpiece. But I still enjoy The Little Mermaid and Aladdin a lot more though.

The Lion King and The Little Mermaid are top class films that should get a lot of credit :D I just enjoy Aladdin more! It's a very uplifting, fun, clever film that ticks all the boxes and is enjoyable for everyone.
