Not as far as people know, I doubt it because of the mess they made with Eragon, they would seriously have to make alot of changes and because of the story line in Eragon it wouldn't work at all. They might aswell not base it on the book.
i doubt it because of the films bad performence the only way is if they remake Eragon with it being much longer and without missing major plots of the book and characters

Yah they missed so much of the plot it would almost be inpossible.... But I think they're going to try because at the end they had Thorn hatching.

I honestly say no there wont be because of one simple fact. Arya left Eragon with the varden while she returned to Ellesmera so how is Eragon going to know how to find the capital city of the elves? In order to make Eldest the movie it seems they would need to remake Eragon.
If they do it is going to be crap! They screwed up the first one so bad that the secondo one would be even worse. I mean they took out the scar that plays a major part in secondo one. So my opinion is HELL NO!!
I recently read Eragon and Eldest... I didn't like the movie b4 I read it, but Arya's actor made me pretty mad and Eragon himself was nowhere near what he was in the book, that is, the GOOD story.
They actually Did not take away the scar, if te pay attention when he walks up to saphira ater murtagh wakes him after he kills durza, he has the scar there, and they also killed the razac in eragon, which does not happen until Brisingr, in which Eragon is half elf.
doubt it cause they ended wrong eragons spose to go bak with arya to ellesmera and the wars not spose to end like that azi had (i no i spelt it wrong) but he was supposed to die and Eragon was supposed to swear fealty to lady nasuada and be friend hrothgar king of the dwarfs so they stuffed it up big time i wish a new movie was comming out but i really doubt it

I have seen teaser trailers on this site but I'm not sure if they are going to make a secondo movie. I Disagree with lots of people about the first movie sucking.
Yeah I liked the first movie but I do agree with some people.... He does not have a scar and Durza was not on a smoke dragon and saphira did not get hurt on her neck in the book. I am sure there are other things they need to change...
they should but before eldest they would have to make Eragon 2 first to fill in all the gaps that they left out. every one keeps talking about the scar that he got in the last fight but the ending came to soon for them to mostra how much it hurt him. but they should

I hope so, but they would need to make many revisions to Eragon. I loved Eragon as a movie, and I loved it as a book, when they were looked at seperatly. But seeing how much the movie fell short compared to the book, it ruined the experience for me.
It's highly likely that there will be. HOWEVER, it most likely will diverge faarther from the books. In my opinion, they did not mess up the story, they just modified it for time. Galbatorix is still alive, Thorn needs to hatch and *SPOILER ALERT* there are still Raa'zac to kill. Eragon also has to learn a LOT più before the series can end. Basically, there's too much that needs to happen for them NOT to continue.
i say we all make a petition of some sort and demand they remake eragon!!! cmon y not theyv made countless versions of batman,cinderella,red riding hood, snow white. if they can remake and create different versions than they shld have no problem with remaking it the RIGHT WAY THIS TIME!!! WHOS WITH ME!! I THINK ITS ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME THEY DO IT!!!
My personal opinion is that they should make the rest of the Inheritance Cycle into movies, but first they should remake Eragon before anything else. The movie was great to me, but the plot wasn't as well. They skipped loads of things and left out load of things just to make the movie short.
I think they should remake Eragon before they even think of filming Eldest. o the rest of the series. With as many changes as they had made in the first one, it would be nearly impossible to make a sequel and still base it off of the books...
Before people start even thinking about making a movie about Eldest they would have to first re make Eragon. I've read all four libri and thought they were spectacular, and I was very excited for the Eragon movie, and it was probably the biggest let down I've ever had. It was just awful, the only thing that was good about it that I thought was that the casting was pretty spot on. Aside from that they ruined the story line da changing things and leaving out so much detail. If they went da the book (literally) and put a lot of time, money and effort into creating Eragon again I believe this series could be just as large as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Personally I think that the only director that could do that is either Ang Lee o Peter Jackson.
I don't think so. They completely trashed the Eragon movie da making so many changes. I was so confused when Brom got stabbed da Durza before they had even been captured da the Razac. Making Eldest into a movie would be total suicide.

They didn't trash the Eragon movie man. They just didn't put enough effort into it. Its a good movie! But it could have a little più to it, if te know what I mean.
I sure as hell hope so some people are saying they butchered the ending but if anything i think it was a setup for a new one cause that was the first time we saw the kings dragon also for the people who are complaining about it not going along with the storyline of the book lick my irish @$$ cause not everyone reads on a EVERY book that turns into a movie
I seriously doubt it. The libri were great, but this movie was awful. They missed so many things in it that were crucial, and added a bunch of randomness. In order to have another movie, they would have to re-make Eragon, o the secondo one would be worse.
To be honest, I don't know. Since there is still another battle to come (the battle with the King), there could be a little more, but after the King is defeated, nothing will probably happen after that.
I'd say probably not. I don't think there will be another Eragon movie. That cliffhanger at the end where the King unleashes his dragon gets te though, doesn't it??
There may be another movie but if they continue the series they are going to have to leave out a lot of things. Like in Eragon he was supposed to meet the werecat solembum. Also, when fighting Durza he was supposed to shatter the giant ruby rose in the dwarven kingdom. I mean they could do it, it would just take a lot of work
i dunno about another movie, but why dont they make a mini series, it could go on for years with how many plots there are in the books, i reckon if they made it into a mini series they could do so much with it., i mean look at game of thrones, so many people like that, what about us fantasy Eragon loves, we read these libri over and over again then we watch the movie just so we get a feel of it all only to have them not do anything, that is just damn stupid
Well the first movie was awful they left parts out from the book,one They actually try to make it as movie.Who ever read the book like Me we can detto it was awful but if I was another person and I didn't Read the book I would of detto it was good they should make dragon 2 is good movie was o begin with but try not to leave parts behind.

Try to make Eragon 2 but in two parts that will help te big time no parts left out.
What they need to do is remake Eragon with Michael baia as the film maker with Christopher Paollini supervising to make sure everything goes along with the book.

I thought the movie was very good, although it didn't follow the book. The critics ripped it to shreds. It would have come out, da now, if there was to be a second. If they made money on it to Hades with the critics.
I dont think so but they should even though they changed many things from the book to the movie it was still good i think it made the story even better thab what it was originally
If they added everything in the book into the movie that would be a very loooong movie. Some people don't have time because of jobs and what not so that is why they had to cut some things out. Plus its better to watch it all in one piece and not in breaks.
I think instead of making anymore Film they need to just make the Eragon series a TV mostra and follow the book exactly how the story and plot are laid out. If they did that I think they would get a lot of people really intrigued in the TV mostra and the libri again. That would be the best way to go since the movie was horrible.
I have so many domande after the ending, Who is the new dragon, what happens with the new dragon, is there another fight, how is the king overthrown, What happens after Arya leaves, so i think they have to have a sequel just to answer those types of questions, they left the movie off at a cliff hanger, I am now just Leggere the libri and i am not that far in and it doesn't seem that bad, they left too many domande senza risposta in the movie for those who have not read the books.
