I was wondering why te guys hate the movie Eragon but not the book...?

the book really isnt that long...and just go 2 the libraary and borrow it...but this is why i dont like the movie

Well...they didnt even get Arya right! shes not surposed 2 b that old... (that actress looks older), they missed the desert storm, Saphira didnt just bcome a full grown dragon when she could fly, Eragon didnt get captured, they didnt even MENTION the stella, star Saphire, Eragon being injured in the begining of the book, and ALOT of other things

If te haven't read book - read it, it really worths that (except te don't wanna be disappointed in movie).
Well, I don't hate the movie, it's a nice family movie. However, if I look at it as a person, who has read that book, then I hate this movie (reasons are mentioned in other answers). The Eragon story could have become an epic movie, which would rival Lord of Rings o even Harry Potter in popularity, if Eragon story had been created da professionals. Well... but it didn't happen and movie makers fooled themselves - they created a movie which one must be continued, but it can't be because in the Eragon movie they changed the whole story too much.

I don't know about everyone else but I used to like the movie until I read the book and the two are just so different to me that its almost like they are two completely different stories. To me I think the book is better and the movie changed so many things that it isn't very good.

I could go on for hours moaning about that movie.

The Eragon movie is a disgrace to the book. Sure, it's probably a good film on its own, but if you've read the book first it doesn't take long to realise what a poor translation from paper to film it is. There are so many differences betweent the book and the film it's practically a different story, and the movie leaves no room for a sequel that would be anything like Eldest, in which the Ra'zac finally die, and yet if I remember correctly the Ra'zac die in the movie of Eragon.

It would take ages to lista all the differences between the book and the film, but I'll leave it at this: the film is definitely not true to the book at all. I hope this risposte your domanda :)

WHAT?????i have read all libri and i Amore both libri and the movie i think the movie was realy cool and it was made realy good i realy want them to make an eldest movie too

The Main reason for me to hate the film is that Saphira who is a really strong and impressive Character in the book has no real character. She is just some animal that does what Eragon sayes. In the book she "stands up to him" and is really smart and is very clever. Also in the film the story is not really fluent. Big parts are not fitting together.

Personally, I hated the movie! It was nothing like the book, which was so awesome, but the movie changed its awesomeness!

The reason why we dislike the movie is because...
Eragon is suppose to be a brunette with brown (or grey) eyes.
Araya is suppose to have black hair and green eyes.
The Ra'zak are suppose to mysterious hooded figures with knees that bend the opposite ways than human knees, and then they have beaks.
te never see Eragon's dreams.
When Murtagh joins the battle he is not in the middle of the battle, he comes out of his cell in the beginning, on Ajihads orders.
Murtagh's cell is luxurious, he has everything he wants like, good food, and any book he wants to read.
Gabltorix and Srewiken never mostra up in book one.

if te read the book youll understand the movie left out soo much first of Eragon was training for about a anno before brom died and even then months went da before the varden apered and then again what about the witch child elva he cursed instead of bleesed
