GOODBYE MY LOVE

Her eyes filled with tears as she watched the two men she loved fight to the death. The sound of metal clashing together rose in pitch and echoed in the great hall. Soon the two men stepped back and circled each other while exchanging glares. The sweat on their foreheads was hidden da the darkness of the room. But all could see Arthur's crystal blue eyes which had turned liquid ever since he had entered the hall.

A few moments fa Arthur had wandered in there in the darkness of the night with only a candle light to guide him. Only to find the woman he loved in the arms of his most trusted friend. His lips coaxing on her mouth and his eyes sealed shut. Her arms had been snaked around his neck and her body pressed against his. The two of them had turned to the doorway when they had heard something drop. They found the young King Arthur standing there with his mouth slightly open in shock. The candle had been abandoned on the floor with the wax spilled around it.

Guinevere had pulled away from Lancelot. Her eyes met her fiancé's and she felt guilty. Arthur felt contaminated da what he had just been witness to. She felt filthy and ashamed of herself. And Lancelot, he returned his friend's gaze in an almost mocking way. That look had driven Arthur to unsheathe his sword and charge at him with a roar.

Now the two men, who had once been so close, were now enemies and were trying to kill the other. At the thought of Lancelot and Guinevere being together, Arthur let out a cry before crashing his blade down onto Lancelot's right arm. His opponent was startled and he stumbled back a bit, his hand covering his arm. When he let go of it, blood gushed freely from the wound. He twitched when he felt the stinging pain. Then raised his sword to attack Arthur and Arthur responded da doing the same.

'Stop!' Screamed Guinevere as she ran between them. Guilt filled her heart; she had made two Friends hate each other. 'Please, stop!'

Her begs caused the two men to drop their swords hastily but neither of them went to comfort her when she began to cry. Arthur looked at the woman he loved with eyes which melted her heart. How could she have done this to him? She loved him just as much as he loved her; and in a couple of days she was to be his wife- the Queen of Camelot. Then Lancelot had returned and he had turned her world upside down. Her attraction to him couldn't be controlled and now they ended up in the position they were now in. Guinevere looked at her fiancé, hoping to find forgiveness in his eyes. But he broke the stare da looking away.

The blade of the axe perched on the scaffold glistened in the little sunlight there was. The crows screeched above among the dark clouds in the pale sky. A large crowd of whispering Camelot citizens surrounded the scaffold. Arthur watched all this from his balcony, his eyes as liquid as they were last night. He was attending the execution of the one he loved, Guinevere. Lancelot had already been executed privately earlier this morning. And Guinevere had weeped all giorno in her cell until this moment.

It was the law that if the lover of the King/Queen had been found 'behaving inappropriately' with the opposite gender should be executed the following day. Arthur did not want this happen to Guinevere but she had been charged with adultery. He considered banishing her from the kingdom but then his people would see him as a weak king. His advisers had persuaded him to do this, to do what was right.

Guards brought Guinevere out into the open, her wrists were chained and her head was bowed. The crowd immediately booed at the sight of her. She was heading for the scaffold where the executioner waited for her with his axe. A shiver ran down her spine as she looked up at him. He was a large man and had a mysterious scary feeling about him. His face was covered da a black mask and he wore clothes like a blacksmith. Despite the booing of the crowd, Guinevere walked up the steps of the scaffold gracefully like a queen. As she did she looked up and her eyes met Arthur's. He looked away quickly and she felt rejected. He didn't want to look at her in the eye o he would break down and cry.

Her eyes adverted to the large stump on the scaffold with a perfect curve at the superiore, in alto for her neck to fit in. At the sight of it her eyes filled with tears. She felt like she had been betrayed da the one she loved. But she had also stabbed him in the back so hard that it forced him to do this. Her head turned to look at the executioner who was expecting her to do something.

'Kneel!' He demanded and she immediately knelt down to the stump when she heard his frightening voice. Arthur was now looking down at the execution once again. He wanted to call out and stop it but he knew he couldn't.

'God have mercy on your soul,' muttered the executioner as Guinevere rested her head on the stump. Tears rolled down her face and she gazed at the crowd in front of her.

'Whore!' They were yelling at her and she looked down. These were people who once loved her greatly.

'Any last words?' asked the executioner and Guinevere blinked twice before opening her mouth.

'I know I have done wrong,' she called out to the people and their chants slowly died. 'But I hope te find it in your hearts to forgive me one day. I cannot describe how ashamed I am of myself. I have never felt so distraught in my life. Be good to your king, Arthur. I know he wants the best for you; and so do I.'

The crowd were silent for a moment and some people began to whisper. Was it a good idea to execute Guinevere? She had done so much for them recently. And she would make a wonderful queen. Now that Lancelot was dead she couldn't be drawn to him.

The executioner raised his axe and the crowd gasp. The tiny hairs on the back of Guinevere's neck stuck up and she accepted her fate. Her eyes closed and the last few tears streamed down her face.

Arthur looked down at her and the axe hanging not far above her. He couldn't do this, he had to stop it. He called out to her.

'Guinevere!' He cried and the crowd of people looked up at him. Guinevere opened her eyes and smiled slightly, he did Amore her. But it was too late, the axe was already crashing down on her and with one hack, her head was off. Arthur looked away with liquid eyes before burying his face in his hands. Guinevere, he thought to himself, forgive me.

The waitress walked through the back door. She was taking a break. She felt two eyes on her and looked aside.
Cas was staring at her.
“Hi” she said. She walked to him. “You were recitazione strange earlier”
“I’m sorry” Cas mumbled. “You remind me of someone”
“Your girlfriend?” the waitress guessed.
Cas shook his head. “She wasn’t my girlfriend. She was my…”
“Sex buddy” the waitress helped. “I’m Lucy”
“I’m Cas” Cas said.
“Cas?” Lucy detto intrigued. “That’s an uncommon name” She came closer to him and took his collar. She dragged him into one of the toilets and locked the door. She threw her arms around his neck and jumped in his arms. She kissed him and Cas forced her against the wall.
“Aaaahhh!” she exclaimed. She pushed Cas away and looked at him terrified.
“I’m sorry” Cas mumbled concerned.
“It’s okay” Lucy said, but Cas unlocked the door and ran away.
“Hello, Meg”
Meg was sitting in the dark, but she could see perfectly well who was staring at her.
“You seem a little…trapped”
“And te seem a little…not yourself” Meg noted. “What did he do to you?”
A smile appeared on Kevin’s face. “You make it sound like he’s been awful to me” he said. “But Crowley’s like a father to me. He won’t let any demon near me and he helps me control my powers. He’s making sure my mother’s safe. Meeting him was the best thing that could’ve happened to me. I don’t have to be afraid anymore”
“Wow, I’m touched” Meg said...

“You did what?”
Jo had told Dean about Isabel’s visit and the fact that she had told her Cas’ real name and where to find him.
“Are te out of your freaking mind? Why would te do that?” he detto angry.
“I’m sorry! How was I supposed to know we’re supposed to keep Cas’ name a secret? No one ever tells me anything around here” Jo defended herself.
“That’s because te can’t keep your big mouth shut!” Dean snapped. Jo walked to him and hit him in the face.
“Don’t talk to me like that. I’m not your dog” she detto mad.
“Oh, how I wish te were. Then at least I...

Cas was sitting on the divano of an unfamiliar house. The people who lived there were out. He looked at a box with blue pills.
Cas landed on the strada, via and in his anger he didn’t see where he was walking. He bumped into a man, older than his vessel, who was carrying paper bags. The man dropped the bags. The content fell on the pavers and Cas kneeled to help the man collect them. When everything, except for one small box, was put back in the bags, the man turned around. In any other circumstances he would’ve thanked Cas, but he’s was a little embarrassed and wanted to leave as fast as possible....

“You’re a what?” Daphne exclaimed.
“Sssshhhh!” Cas hissed and he looked around to make sure no one was listening along. “I’m an angel. Literally. I have big, black wings whereby I can fly. I have special abilities, like healing people and I’m very strong”
“That explains a lot” Daphne replied with big eyes.
“Please, don’t tell anyone” Cas insisted.
Daphne raised her eyebrows. “No one would believe me if I did. I’m a nut job, remember?”
“Promise te won’t tell” Cas repeated.
“I promise” Daphne said. She shoved the annulment papers towards Cas. “I should...

Janice was wondering around in the clinic. She had walked up to Daphne’s room several times, but each time she was almost there she stopped suddenly and turned around again.
She walked to Daphne’s room again. She gathered all her courage and put down the latch. She peaked inside and saw Daphne was sleeping. She tiptoed into the room and sank down in the comfy sede, sedile successivo to the bed. She picked up the newspaper lying on the pedestal cupboard and read the headlines. She held her head diagonally and pricked with her finger at a picture of a man.
“Bad man. Very, very bad man” she detto with...

A nurse was helping Daphne with her lunch when Zoey came in the room. The nurse looked up.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know…” Zoey detto apologizing.
“No, it’s okay” the nurse said. “Maybe, if te want, te can take over”
“Yeah, sure” Zoey detto and she walked to the bed. The nurse got up and offered Zoey his chair.
“Enjoy your meal, Daphne” the nurse said. “When te need something, just push the button. I’m staying close”
He walked to the door and left.
Zoey sat down on the chair and looked at Daphne’s plate. “Oooh, chicken, yummy”
Daphne shrugged. “You can...

Meg stood behind a wall, lurking at Cas and Alexia through her field-glass. They were sitting on a terrace eating cialde and drinking milk-shake. Cas looked as if he was drinking heaven itself.
Meg wanted to go to him and explain why she had to run, but she couldn’t without telling him who he was. And she knew she was being watched. She had escaped Crowley’s demons, but it would only be a matter of time before they caught up with her. And if they did she had no chance of defending herself. She had been so stupid to leave the Angel coltello at home.
As she was staring through the field-glass...

Zoey was sitting at the cucina tavolo in Daphne’s house. After her appointment with the dentist Zoey had decided to have a coffee chat with her sister.
“How are te doing?” she asked casual.
“I’m doing fine, Z” Daphne answered.
“Are te still taking your medication?” Zoey asked insisting. Daphne frowned, annoyed. “For goodness sake, Daphne, it’s for te own good and ours. The doctor didn’t prescribe te these pills for nothing”
Daphne stood up angry. “I know what they are for” she snapped. She sighed. “I feel good, Zoey. Emmanuel is really good company. He makes...

The successivo morning
Cas opened the door of the house and helped Daphne inside. He guided her to the sitting room and put her gently down on the couch.
“You know, I’ve been thinking” Daphne said. “With te around I don’t need a car. Makes things a lot cheaper”
“Can I get te something?” Cas asked.
Daphne shook her head. “You’re here. That’s enough for now”
Cas wasn’t used to that much gratitude and he’d have to adjust to it.
“Actually” Daphne started. “Could te give me the phone? I need to call the locksmith to tell him I won’t be needing his services after all. I gave Zoey her key back”
Cas smiled weak. “I’m glad te made it up with each other”
Meg went back to her house to cover her tracks. It was only a matter of time before Crowley’s demons would figure out where she was hiding, but when they did she would be long gone and she didn’t want to make it too easy for them to track her down again.
So when she switched the light on in her living room she was quite surprised to see three demons standing in the room. She would’ve grabbed her knife, if the closest demon hadn’t thrown a cup of holy water in her face.
“Aaaaaaaahhh! te son of a bitch!” she cursed, but before she could act the other demons came closer and dragged...

The fuoco was out and the firemen left when a familiar car was parked at the same spot the fuoco truck had been parked. The door opened and Zoey stepped out. She quickly walked up to Cas.
“What happened? Where’s Daphne?” she asked insisting. The man from Ethan Allen’s walked to his car and left. His colleagues had left the new furniture on the drive. Zoey looked at them. “What’s this?”
Cas smiled nervous. Since Zoey knew Cas smiled rarely she was immediately alerted. “Okay, spill, what did I miss?”
Cas coughed. “I might have done some regrettable things last night. And thirty...

Cas kicked the door of their bedroom open. Daphne was sitting on superiore, in alto of Mitch.
“Daphne” Mitch said, looking at Cas.
“Don’t worry” Daphne detto with a heavy voice. “That’s my husband. He knows I have my needs. It’s not my fault he’s incompetent”
Mitch pushed her off of him and searched for his clothes. Cas turned around and ran downstairs.
“What are te doing?” Daphne asked grumpy. “Come back in bed”
“Are te completely out of your mind?” Mitch exclaimed.
“Oh, please, te knew I was married” Daphne said.
“That was really low” Mitch said. “Get dressed. I’m done here. te go find someone else to consider your needs”
“Come on, don’t be like that” Daphne said.
They heard an enormous crack and they jumped.
“What the hell was that?” Mitch asked.
As soon as Meg opened the door Cas came rushing in. Meg’s eyes widened and she shut the door. “Hello to you, too” she mumbled and she walked into the living room, where Cas was sitting on the couch. He was staring in front of him. Meg walked towards him and sat down.
“What are te doing here?”
Cas didn’t answer. He was trying to keep his breathing under control.
“What happened?” Meg asked. “Is Daphne still angry about me being there? I can go there and tell her what happened”
Cas still didn’t answer.
“I made her unhappy” he eventually said.
“How do te mean?” Meg...

Cas was showering while Meg was going through Daphne’s stuff. She found a purple dress and decided to try it on. When she had it on she walked to the bathroom and entered. She opened the curtains.
“How do I look?” she asked, spinning around.
“Is that Daphne’s dress?” Cas detto frowning.
“Probably” Meg replied.
“Take it off. It’s not yours” Cas detto a little mad.
“Take it off? Is that an invitation?” Meg teased. She did what he asked and took off the dress. Cas’ eyes grew wide.
“You’re naked” he noticed.
Meg looked down. “Oh, gee, now te mention it”
“Put the...

Mitch, a tall, tanned man with black, spiky hair and hazel eyes opened the door of castello Café and entered. The first thing he noticed was a man lying on the ground at the bar. He sighed and walked to the man. He kicked him softly. “Sir, wake up. We open in two hours”
Cas opened his eyes and suddenly felt how soar he was. He squeezed his eyes and looked at Mitch. “Who are you?” he asked.
Mitch rolled his eyes, grabbed Cas’ upper arm and lifted him on his feet. “There te go” he said.
“You are strong” Cas noted admirable.
Mitch frowned and looked away, not knowing what to think...

When Cas and Zoey finally came downstairs più guests had arrived. And among the guests there was a four anno old girl. She had blonde, wavy hair, green eyes, chubby cheeks and thin lips. She ran towards Zoey and Zoey lifted her in her arms.
“There te are, Poppy” Zoey said.
“Mommy” the girl squeaked, squeezing her chubby arms tightly around Zoey’s neck, suffocating her.
“Is that Alexia?” Cas asked. Zoey nodded and put her daughter on her own feet. “Say hi to Emmanuel, sweetie”
Alexia reached out her hand and smiled. “Hello, Emmanuel”
Cas accepted the tiny hand and Alexia...

The door opened.
“I know you” Cas said. “You’re not a stranger, te can come in”

Two hours later Daphne was baking cookies, while Cas was staring at the screen of Daphne’s laptop.
“How do I turn it on?” he asked careful; Zoey was in the room. She walked towards him and pointed at the start button. “This button” she detto polite. She was still shaking from Cas’ last move. She’d had no idea he could be that strong.
“Thank you” Cas said. He looked up with cucciolo eyes. “Is your shoulder still hurting?”
“I’ll live” Zoey detto soft.
“It was not my intention to cause te pain. My first priority was protecting Daphne” Cas explained.

“Check her Facebook profile” Zoey said.
“What?” Jack asked distracted.
“She postato some pictures of her and Emmanuel on her Facebook page” Zoey explained. “You can cut her out of it and scan the photo. See what te come up with”
Silence.
“Are te still there?” she asked slowly.
“Yeah,...
