Feminism Domanda

Do te find it frustrating that as a feminist te are almost constantly having to explain and reassure people that te don't hate men simply because te believe in women's rights?

Actually, yes. It is very frustrating. As far as experience goes, I've found there are three types of people. First, those who don't even know what Feminism is about. It gets tiresome to have to explain to people that yes, if they believe in equality between men and women, they are in essence, Feminists. Second, those who think they know what Feminism is but are in actuality only buying into the stereotypes. It's infuriating listening to people suggest that you're a man-hating closet lesbian who's just making excuses because you're alone. Then, finally there are people who actually know what Feminism is about. Unfortunately, there are very few people I know that fall into this last category.

I've never really been called a Feminist da anyone, but I think that anyone who assumes that women who are Feminists hate men is an idiot.

We're not saying we hate men, nor are we really giving any reason to make people think that, in general.

Just because we are pushing for equality of the sexes and want people to see that women are just as, if not più important than men doesn't mean that we hate anyone.
It's not like it's the fault of most guys these days that women have been/are discriminated against.

I personally have nothing against guys, unless they give me a reason to dislike them.

It's stupid that people even assume that about us.

the line 'just as o più important than men' might not help people think te dont hate men. o at least not respect them

If I were to tell someone that I was a feminist I would shove into their brains the best I can that I meant it in the true sense of the word. I have never hated men although I will admit I get annoyed with them time to time (same with my own gender) and I am not pushy about my annoyance with sexism.
