I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Nikolaj Coster-Waldau spotted filming Game of Thrones in Portstewart | Watchers on the bacheca
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
season 5 filming is well underway, with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau being the latest cast member spotted by locals.
It would appear that scenes are being shot on Portstewart Strand. Portstewart Strand is a two-mile long beach in Portstewart, Co. Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
In addition to this Jaime sighting, signs indicate that there may be additional scenes shot on August 6th & 7th.
Cian: Nikolaj filming on a beach would seem to confirm the rumors about Jaime journeying to Dorne, with this scene in particular likely being his arrival. What do you think?
Spoiler coding is currently functional using shortcode:
Insert spoiler here
. Thank you for your patience while we make this function easier for our readers!
If Jaime was following the storyline of the books then there is no reason for him to be on any beach, so Jaime going to Dorne sounds a likely explanation.
I forget, in season 2 was there any suggestion that Myrcella was accompanied by Arys? If not we are probably seeing a merging of the roles of Arys and Balon Swann through Jaime?
Safe to say at this point that Jaime’s AFFC arc is being axed. Personally didn’t find the whole travelling to castle after castle entertaining but the meetup with the Freys and the Riverrun plot I was looking forward to seeing.
So the audition videos are true, Jaime is going to Dorne with Bronn?
Perhaps Jaime or Bronn will be the ones to fight Obara.
There was a kingsguard member in the boat with her when Myrcella sailed off. His back was turned to the camera so we didn’t see his face, but I take it was supposed to be Arys. I guess now that Jaime is going to Dorne anyway, they don’t need him?
Any word on if we’re going to catch up with ol’ Edmure?
I’m going to assume that Jaime is being sent there either:
1) To bring Myrcella back to KL 2) To facilitate a marriage alliance between House Lannister and House Martell.
Or both! Plus of course to take Gregor’s skull to Doran.
Now I have to say Jaime and Doran scenes with Nikolaj and Alexander Siddig could be juicy!
I’m guessing that he would be taking over for Balon Swann in bringing Gregor’s bones and attempting to smuggle Myrcella back to King’s Landing. From a storytelling perspective, they probably want a major character in Dorne to better hook that whole storyline into the rest of the setting.
Not looking forward to Dorne at all. Except maybe Doran.
So much good content from the books that appears to be cut or changed, in order to make room for the “sexy badasses sand snakes”.
Don’t show us filler content that involves Sand Snake #3 fighting Jaime.
Give us the Greyjoys uncles, LSH, Manderly, the siege of Riverrun. You know, real good stuff. And don’t spoil TwoW. Please.
Don’t know why I’m even writing this. All the bad decisions are already made.
Anyone know anything about Wyman the Pieman Manderly getting cast?
He was a seriously enjoyable character in ADWD. I hope he isn’t cut.
I wonder if much of his book-arc will be cut though. It seems to me like he’ll probably only be in Dorne briefly (especially after D&D’s comments about the jet-pack). I have a feeling it will still look VERY different character-wise (after the omitted conversation/revelations of his exchange with Tyrion, it would have to).
If the Lannisters have any strategic sense ( doubtful really now!) then they will want to mend fences diplomatically with Dorne, and I can see Jaime being on a diplomatic mission.
there is potential for a clusterf–k of gigantic proportions involving Myrcella leading to a change of priorities whereby the Lannisters and Martells are even more at odds, with Jaime having to get out of Dodge on mission Jetpack
Yeah, at this point I’m pretty damn certain that Myrcella
is going to bite the dust this season and Trystane will take up Quentyn’s arc. How that’s going to lead up to any part of Jaime’s Feast/Dance storyline is anyone’s guess.
