This is what happened to me when I was 4 years old, it's a true short story.

I was 4 years old walking in my backyard, me and my sister were going up the stone bacheca in the backyard. We went to the superiore, in alto of a small collina beside it and I said, "I'm the king of the world!" and taking up the warm summer breeze, then my feet went tippy-toe and like a feather, I fell. My sister tried to grab my hands to drag me up, but missed. I fell on my head and saw a beam of light under me, like the kind te see on a sunny giorno inside. I landed on my head, I closed my eyes and opened them, I was ok, my mom, dad, and sister looked at me. "Are te ok?" my sister asked. "Yeah." I said, stood up, and got on the swing.

That's my story, I was rescued da our Lord, has this happened to te once?

"Almost perfect...but not quite."
Those were the words of Mary Hume
At her seventh birthday party,
Looking 'round the ribboned room.
"This tablecloth is rosa not white--
Almost perfect...but not quite."

"Almost perfect...but not quite."
Those were the words of grown-up Mary
Talking about her handsome beau'
The one she wasn't going to marry.
"Squeezes me a bit too tight--
Almost perfect...but not quite."

Ninety-eight the giorno she died
Complainin' 'bout the spotless floor.
People shook their heads and sighed.
"Guess that she'll like heaven more."
Up went her soul on feathered wings,
Out the door, up out of site.
Another voice from heaven came--
"Almost perfect...but not quite."
