Harry Potter vs Twilight Domanda

What would te think if someone else wrote sequels to Harry Potter o Twilight?

I've noticed in iconic libri like Pride and Prejudice, fan of the book sometimes write whole libri with the same characters. It's like fan-fiction, but actually published.

HP fans: WOuld te read a book da someone else about Harry's kids, o about Harry and the gang's life after Hogwarts?

Twilight fans: Would te read a book not da Stephenie Meyer about Bella and Edward, o Renesmee?

I would defenatly read them if J.K Rowling authorized them, but I would never enjoy them as much knowing that that was not the official event, that might not have been what really happened. Plus Jo's writnig is too unique to be copied.

No, not even if JKR herself wrote it. I Amore HP very much, but to explain why I say this, let me borrow the words f Bill Watterson:
"When te overcommercialize something, eventually, the public gets slightly bored with the series, and, eventually, forgets it altogether."
I couldn't have detto it better. HP is a great book, but if we keep making coffee mugs, "wands," and book sequels some people are going to get bored with it.
Twilight haters, recall when te discovered SM was Scrivere the Twilight libri from Edward's POV. One HP fan said: "Why rewrite it? It's terrible already." So, if the sequels were to come out, a HP hater might respond: "Why write more? It's terrible enough already."
Note: Not all fan will act like this, but a few will.
So, altogether, I don't think any più sequels should be written, for either book, especially if it is da the same author.
Thank you, that will be all.

*clicks best answer- button* te are right. If there was a new HP book coming out every anno it would become meaningless, just like every other mass-product.

Cheap way to get money and fame. So no way. I would even have disrespect for someone trying to rip off Stephanie Meyer. If te create a piece of work its yours. That is mostly why I despise remakes. I go to some, but they 99.9% of the time fail. Same with libri it wouldnt feel the same.

If an HP fan did it right, then HP fanfiction could actually be pulled off. Honestly, I think anyone could write better than Meyer, just saying...Don't mean to be offensive...

It depends. The Wizard of Oz series has over forty libri and was written da twenty-seven different authors. Those libri are amazing and they're, in no way, commercialized. Well, I guess te could make a case for Wicked, but that's beside the point.

If the libri were about Harry o the trio, o the new generation, no. Harry has come full cerchio and I don't think te can develop his character anymore. The same goes for the Trio. Besides, any plot that is tried is just going to seem like a watered down version of Harry Potter. Even if JK wrote libri about Harry and the trio o their kids, I don't think I'd read them.

But if it was a story about the Marauder era, o the founders then it might be really, really cool. A lot of JKs fan came away with different interpretations of her characters than she intended (*cough*Dracoand Severus*cough). Seeing those crucial characters from a fan would be interesting.

o even do a story about Dumbledore and his life (and what he was doing during those seven books).
