Which form of torture is stronger; Jane's power o Bellatrix's Cruciatus Curse? And how long do te think they can endure each other's power? Who will last longer?

Bellatrix's cruciatus curse; Jane's power only makes people think they are in pain, really it's all a mental thing. Whereas crucio actually does cause real, physical pain.

Therefor I say Bellatrix would last longer; Bellatrix isn't really getting hurt she just thinks she is and feels like she is, but Jane actually is getting hurt so her body would probably give out faster. Not to mention Bellatrix's mental state is so screwed up it's hard to say if Jane's powers would even work on her. If Bella can use her shield I'm pretty sure Bellatrix can block the pain out too. To add another point; Bellatrix is an occlumer, she can block out the pain since Jane's power only affects the mind.

We have no way orf knowing this o even making an educated guess. Both powers are pretty much identical. No one here has experienced either infliction.
Anyone who says Bellatrix is only doing so because they like her.
Anyone who says Jane is only doing so because they like her.


I don't know who would last longer, but I do think Jane would inflict it longer. Simply because she can last longer just standing there doing nothing.

I would say that this domanda is actually multiple ones.
1) Which is stronger?
Harry described CC as pain beyond anything he ever felt that was like if his Bones were burning and making him want to die.
Jane makes every cell of your body on fire.
So I think the pain is +- the same as both are that your body is simply burning.
2) How long will they endure.
Jane I would say for extreme periods before going mad and maybe even after that.
Bellatrix would use at some point legimency (before Jane even attacked) and analized the attack of Jane and would find the illusion and how it doesnt work on Bella cigno and would immedietly apply Occlumercy which would block the pain alogether and surround himself with Fryendfire so Jane cant attack her o wont attack her physically and after that simply kill Jane.
3) Who would last longer?
Bellatrix for sure as she actually has a way to prevent the pain and wouldnt be harmed but Jane has no defence.

I personally think the Cruciatus Curse would be stronger, because in one of the Harry Potter books, it mentions that after the curse had been lifted, Harry was left with aching pains all over his body, which implies that the Cruciatus Curse has a physical effect on the body, whilst Jane's powers are purely mental.

Interesting question. I thought Bellatrix's Crutiatus would have been worse, but after checking out link and link it looks as though Jane's power is stronger. Crutiatus' pain is described as worse than "one thousand white-hot knives, boring into the skin." It can also be dodged, blocked da a solid object and if te happen to be a strong willed wizard/witch then te can resist the pain until the spell is lifted. Jane's power is instantaneous and the pain is the same as being burnt alive. Think about it, not hot knives boring into skin, but your whole body being burnt alive ie your skin, your insides etc. It can't be deflected, resisted (unless you're Bella o within her protection area) o dodged and it does not need to be cast.
