Mike Tyson Mysteries series premiere TV billboards...
Scandal-ous when a new show comes along, capturing audience\'s imaginations, and then other networks develop similar lookalike series to capitalize on this new storytelling approach.
Madam Secretary and State of Affairs seem to fall into the camp of following in the footsteps of other shows, rather than originating their own fresh breakout concepts.
NBC\'s new political thriller, State of Affairs, Katherine Heigel plays a no-nonsense CIA analyst who has the U.S. President\'s ear, not only because she briefs Alfre Woodard\'s female Commander in Chief on a daily basis about oversea threats to American interests, but she also used to be engaged to her son who was killed by terrorists the year before.
Grey\'s Anatomy and left to star in a string of mediocre films, so it\'ll be interesting if her return to TV as a Presidential advisor and keeper of international secrets will be what this new television season needs.
One great thing the freshman show has going for it is this patriotic stars and stripes ad creative, which is bold and different from anything else we\'ve seen this season.
The larger rectangular patriotic billboard was first spied along
L.A.\'s Sunset Strip on October 16, followed by more landscape ads in multiple locations along La Cienega Boulevard later in October, whilst State of Affairs series premiere ad also had a presence in Times Square in New York City on November 3, 2014.
If you\'re a fan of the actress, be sure to check out these movie billboards for One for the Money from 2012 and these
Life As We Know It movie billboards from the skies of L.A. in 2010.
President\'s men may be nothing compared to her, but let\'s hope that this rookie drama has more than enough of an identity of its own and doesn\'t borrow too heavily from other shows currently on the air (cough, Scandal. Cough, Homeland).
UPDATED: Here\'s a squarer season one creative snapped in the skies of Beverly Boulevard on November 13, 2014, showing off more of the actress and the American flag. You have to agree, it really is a striking billboard.
