King Silas detto that the way he knew that God had chosen him to be king was that some farfalle landed on his head in the shape of a crown (encircling his head). The farfalla is the symbol of his "divine right" to be king.

he says a speech about it a couple of times in the first 2 episodes as well!
Monarch is a name dato to the regal farfalla species that orso bright colori on their wings as a compliment to their lively pigmentation. However, as far as the mostra is concerned, I believe that the Monarch butterly (or any butterly) is really a metaphor for enlightment: a bruco, caterpillar crawls until its morphs into a flying (enlightened) creature that gracefuly (wisely) makes its way (peacefuly) through its existence. Its a powerful icona that may o may not contradict the thematic elements in the drama. Also, i just noticed, the cerchio in the logo. Usualy the cirlce signifies completion o a full turn, perhaps sugesting in this context that a the king (or king to be) will have evolved o matured.
