I think she is straight. I saw one interview of her where she mentioned that, just because she sings certain song, people then think she is gay , and she thinks that is really narrow minded (suggesting that she isn't actually gay??). Also they chatted about kisses, when the interviewer told her many of his Friends would like to baciare her, she detto " I bet they're all women! (Laugh embarrassedly)"

Maybe she is a bit confused about her feelings. I mean, she is still very young , isn't she? She still has a lot to explore , therefore, who knows what will happen in the future?

They say it takes one to know one, and I'm pretty positive that Elly is a big ol' lesbo. I watched an interview where she explained Scrivere "In for the Kill" and she totally played the pronoun game!! UPDATE: I have since met Elly Jackson here in Los Angeles. She is unquestionably lesbian. Sweet, but a male swagger. And for those who say "who cares?" the gay community, a minority, cares. We want to KNOW when one of ours does well.

i am really NOT SURE. i mean, when i first heard "Quicksand", i was pretty sure she was lesbian. but i have just got the album, and there's a song in it called "im not your toy" which made me think that she was either bi-sexual o straight. what made me think that is the lyrics which go, "I'm not your toy,

that got me wondering.

i think she is straight. la roux is basically a gimic, she wants to stand out and have a bit of mystery about her. da dressing like that she immediately has a fan base, and she can switch off and just be elly at the end of the day

i think also the lyrics may be because la roux also has a male in the band? and because she isnt bothered about what people think of her sexuality she says 'boy' to confuse people...plus the word rhymes with toy!

she does always say 'person' though and not specifically man, bf etc - but i think its intentional to keep people interested. its working!

She's a really tough lady to figure out, and maybe that's how she wants it to be. Maybe she wants to keep her personal life...well personal. I don't think it's very nice for us to be debating her sexuality! I certainly wouldn't like it, and from recente interviews I don't think she likes it either!
I think as fan we should respect her decision on not wanting to reveal her sexuality and just enjoy the music, which is amazing!

If she was straight, she would have declared it da now and I totally agree with the precedente post about the 'pronoun game' If she is a dyke, I do understand why she hasn't come out yet, aside from it being no-one's business, it doesn't define te as a person, the older I've gotten (I've been out for nearly 20 years), the less I want to tell people immediately because there is so much più to me than my sexuality and it really is irrelevant in most situations.

Although every one of us lesbiche and bisexuals wish she was I believe that she isn't a lesbian. She may be bisexual but if she is I don't think she knows it yet. All i can say is she's very pretty, and she's an inspiration to every one of her fans. I don't know about te but I've never seen and pictures o video of her doing weird stuff with girls (other than Mickey and she has a boyfriend), but there are a bunch picture of her with this girl, from older pictures and even in present pictures but it turns out the girls name is Emily and she has been Elly's friend since they where like one anno old.

I don't know for sure, well, just like everyone else. I think the reason why she says all kinds of weird stuff to the press when they ask her, is because she's trying to avoid answering because she don't think people should judge her da her sexuality (which sucks and is caused da cultures build around sexualities which I think has too many negative sides) but her music. However, based on what makes most sense of the things she's said, it's likely that she's pansexual. Which is basically bisexual, te just don't make a difference of genders. Like they see the person completely regardless of the penis o the vagina (I'm taking advantage of the chance to say those words). Which is excellent because that provocate the strict society's gender expectations. Her style is very unique too, it excacly doesn't fit into any (gender-) category. Though I think she seems lesbian sometimes, especially in the Quicksand Musica video, so of course lesbiche falls in Amore with her. Well, she's sooo hot and I know I'm crazy in Amore with her!

whether she is straigh, gay o bi - no one really knows except her...from what she has detto in interviews it doesnt sound as if she is gay..but that doesnt make her straight either. rumours reported the bad break up which inspired her song lyrics was an affair with brett anderson from the band suede (also famous for his androgynous style in the 90's). elly never passed comment, he denied it..but he also made a song that hints at an affair with someone who has the same hair color..but the point is if its true, then she has to be straight o bisexual..other people have spoken of her having a girlfriend in france, i havent read anything about that though. either way, she makes good Musica thats her main aim :)
