I am disappointed that in such day and age that tv writers still misinform the public by not doing research on the medical conditions that they use in their shows. On the "Bullseye" episode, they had a "perp" who was said to have Noonan's Syndrome. This syndrome is not very well known, despite the number of affected people is similar to that of Down's Syndrome (affecting 1 in 1000 to 2500 births). This character in the show was depicted as large in stature, a predator, and so undeveloped cognitivally that he was urinating in public. In reality, people that are affected by Noonan Syndrome are short and petite in stature, are some of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met, and very intelligent. Noonan Syndrome mostly affects the stature, the heart, gastrointestinal system, and physical features but not as they were portrayed on this show. I would hope that any of you who watched this show and are not familiar with the syndrome will take a few minutes and google Noonan's Syndrome or visit the .org website to learn more about it so that you do not stereotype the people affected by this syndrome.
