Hi guys, I know that this board is pretty empty, but I thought that it would be interesting to compare both the 1998 version with the 2012 version.

1998 Version

While the majority of the movie is faithful, there are a number of things that I wasn't very happy about. In the case of Valjean, he was a very violent man in this version. Whereas in the book, the musical and precedente adaptations. The Acting

Okay, I was very impressed with the choice of the cast. This was my first time hearing Anne Hathaway sing as she previously the original choice for Christine Daae in the 2004 Phantom of the Opera before Emmy Rossum got the part. Anne's rendition of I Dreamed a Dream really brought me to tears, I even had the soundtrack and I cried non-stop!
I knew that Hugh Jackman was the perfect Valjean and his voice is very calm that he convinced everyone that he's the perfect...

Okay, so there have been complains regarding Russell Crowe's Canto and his portrayal as Javert in the movie. So are my choices who is going to be the perfect choice if Crowe was not chosen in the first place!

1) Liam Neeson

I first saw his portrayal as Valjean in the 1998 version of Les Miserables, I personally felt he should have play a very aloof Javert in this 2012 version. Since he's a very good actor who can bland in with different types of characters throughout his recitazione career.

2) Harrison Ford

Well, since I know him in stella, star Wars. So my reason is that he could pull a Javert with his...
