Good Idea??

Would it be a goood idea to say "Hi(insert name), I just realized this is my last peice of gum. Would te like to have it?" if I were to sit da my crush. o should I say it differently?????

I don't know him that well but I thought since I'm going to make the "FIRST" sposta (since he wants me too) tomorrow then why not? My last idea was to buy him a Airhead (I like the gum idea better.)
