I was actually in the February 22'nd 6.3 Magnitude earthquake, and I even remember the exact time that it struck. It struck at 12:52 43secs exactly, I will never ever forget the huge rolling motion of this huge tremor. As I was in my rented accommodation my unit was just shaking all over the place.
Also when I went down to the Christchurch CBD (Central Business District) I saw many building flattened and also saw liquefaction oozing out of the ground. I could even smell in some places a little but of methane gas. I saw libraries and the "Bridge of Remembrance" sealed of from the New Zealand army. I also went down some streets and saw a wedding store partially destroyed. And many power lines downed.
I will never ever forget this tragic giorno when over 180 people Lost their lives, everyday I still think about those tremors, and also those that were Lost in this most tragic day.
