Looking for a better Movie Maker to create POM AMVs

I made an AMV (Animated Musica Video) for Private and one for Skipper but my Windows Movie Maker 2.6 kept freezing so badly that I couldn't use it so I decided to use the old version of Windows Movie Maker which worked a lot better than 2.6 but the colori on the immagini I added to the video messed up.. if 2.6 didn't keep freezing I could fix the coloring of the immagini but I can't D: So, I thought that I should look for a better Movie Maker, one that doesn't keep freezing o messes up the colori on the images. Does anyone know of any Movie Maker programs that I can try out?
