then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around te and lifted te to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.
He knew that te were suffering, He knew te were in pain,
He knew that te would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb,
as He closed your weary eyelids and whispered 'Marienne it is time'.
Through tearful eyes we watched te and saw te slip away,
and although we loved te dearly we knew te could not stay.
A golden cuore stopped beating, hard working hands at rest,
God's garden is più beautiful now, because we know he took the best.
