Do te annoyed when people say "you're getting fat", o do te just brush it off?

It kinda annoys me. It's so uncalled for.
Especially if it's a grown up. If it's some kid, I wouldn't care. If it was my classmate I'd say they were just teasing...

My maid told me I was getting fatter, totally out of the blue.
I wanted to say "It's summer, what do te expect? Most of the time all I do is eat, sleep, watch tv and go on the internet!"
But, I don't know...I guess I'm just overreacting :P
Just wanted to share ;)

Depends on who's asking. If the other person is fat, I tell them they have no room to talk. If they're not, I say they're getting skinny, which is worse. If it's my mom, I get mad cuz she's just in a bitchy mood.

It really depends, for me.

If a random person came up to me and detto that "you're getting fat", of course I would take offense to that, especially since it's someone I barely know.

If it was one of my friends, I would understand because the reason they were likely to say that would be out of their concern for me.

As for my parents...oh boy, lots of comebacks there. ^^ '

So like I said, depends on the person, the situation, and the way it was said.
