Thinking about Atheism...

I'm trying to decide whether to 'convert' to Atheism. It feels più like my beliefs, but I'm not sure for two reasons:

1. Atheism would mean I had made a definate choice about God, and I'm not sure whether I want to o not.

2. It sounds silly, but Atheism has so many negative connotations, such as 'immoral'.

So, in short, could someone please tell me più about Atheism and your own individual thoughts so I can make a choice?

I'm currently an agnostic.

te don't have to decide now. But if te look at the evidence, there IS a God. It makes scientific sense, and if te read libri like "The Case for a Creator" da Lee Strobel, te will see that smart people believe in God (no offense to those who don't, as I'm sure te can be smart without believing).

te are a child of God and He loves te so much. If te turn your back on Him, you're losing everything. But if te remain faithful to him, you're gaining everything.

Yeah, and I KNOW my life is complete. If I gte pregnant, I'll get abortion, And I use condoms, I'm not an idiot. End up ruining my life? Well, I can also be hit da a car when I go out later tonight, but I'm not worried. I live one giorno at a time, and I don't need a 2000 anno old book to tell me how I'm supposed to life my life.

1. If you're not sure if God exist o not, te should remain an agnostic.
2. Atheists can be just as 'good' and live da good morals as a christian, muslim o a jew. It's stupid to define people based on their religion.

I think atheism is fine, if te really don't believe in God, but I'll stick to Agnosticism. From what you've said, I think te should do so too.

I generally don't believe in "labels", even if te don't mean it this way. te don't need to convert into anything if te are not sure. te can stay a free thinker, which is the best thing in my opinion; judging free from any ideological "mould". I don't know almost anything about agnostics, so I don't know if what I detto above is what they do.=)

Generally about the subject, I do believe in God cause when I try not to I just... can't orso the thought. I'm baptised Christian Orthodox but that's just because of the family tradition; I don't really care what christians think, I just like what Gesù detto about Amore towards everyone! As far as it concerns God I believe in what a greek writer, Kazantakis, detto in one of his libri (translation da me, kinda lousy); "Each race and each era gives God its own mask; but behind all the masks, there is, in all eras and in all races, the same always God.
We have the attraversare, croce as a sacred sign, the older ancestors had the labrys; but behind the attraversare, croce and the labrys I perceive and I worship, setting aside the ephemeral symbols, the true God." And all in all I think that the best we should do is not care too much about god, religion and domande we could never answer, but just enjoy life!=)
