I Have a Serious Question...

Okay so I live in Pennsylvania. I was born on January 22, 1996, my boyfriend was born on July 7th, 1996. I am 18 and he's 17. If I wanted to have sex with him and he with me, does that make it illegal? Could I get arrested? D: I didn't have sex I am just curious. I'm upset because me and him don't really have a big age difference but someone told me I can get arrested for that.......I mean what the fuck? 18 from 17 isn't really a HUGE difference, we were born the same year.....help please? :'(

Yes, because he is under 18. Just wait a few months, sister, to make it legal.

What is the age of consent in PA?

I doubt anyone would waste their time, considering how close in age the two of te are. These laws were meant to prevent old farts like me from going after younger people like you, not stop 17 and 18 anno olds from doing the deed.

Pennsylvania; technically 16, but there is a corruption of minors law which basically makes the age of consent 18 unless both parties are over 16 but under 18.[10]

Ok. So this is a moot point. These laws are intended to protect minors from older people. As others have answered, if her bf were 3-5 years younger, there'd be an issue. But 6 months apart?? Really? da the time this would make its way to court, they'b both be in their 30s--assuming the 17 anno old's parents really wanted to waste their time and money bringing an action.

I think it only matters if you're like 18 and the other person is like 5 years younger than you. I don't think it's bad if te were born in the same year.

Thank you, that's what I think too but others say otherwise

I looked it up and many people say it's a misdemeanor. It says that it's only bad if you're 18 and the person is 3 years younger than you.

I don't care whether it's illegal o not. Sex outside marriage will hurt te in one way o another. It's just a fact. (For example, it could result in unplanned pregnancy o STD).
If te want to, go right ahead (after all, who am I to stop you?). But te will get hurt.

OMG. I was messing around when I was 17 and my bf was 19. That was in NJ, but just outside PA. We grew up just outside Philly, and I can assure you, no one but no one went to jail.

I know women over 20 can have sex with 10 years o younger boys and only have 30 days sentence.
....I wouldn't even worried. You're a girl, you'll hardly even get a sentenced anyways because of the crappy law system. If te were a guy, you'd probably get 10 years o più for this.

Are te in a hurry o something? No need to rush it. It's just sex. I mean, do it if te want to, but not in your parent's house o whatever. They don't wanna hear that!

Also, if you're going to have sex with him on his birthday, then wont he already be 18 da then?! xD

That should answer your question... and who cares if he's 17?! You'll technically be able to say te did it with a minor! lol And people will be disturbed.
