If te avoid talking to your Friends for months o weeks, does it make te a bad friend/person?

This has been troubling me an awful lot and I want to get it solved and settled.

If te had for example a good number of Friends online o reality and te never get to talk o communicate with them for weeks o months due to unfortunate events o because te don't want to be a creeper, stalker, annoyance, etc. does it o does it not make te a bad person/friend?
