Hi I just finished my freshman anno and I'm going to be a sophomore!!!

consigli - talk to everyone and go to the orientation events. The first friend I made is now my best friend and we met through orientation. Don't be afraid to talk to people - no one else really has any idea what's going on either and even the cool kids are dweebs deep down.

At the same time, choose Friends carefully. It's different if you're going to a huge state school o something but my school is on the smaller side and friend groups got cemented within the first few weeks. So don't hang with people te don't like and introduce yourself to people te find interesting even if you're terrified. Be Friends with your roommate but don't cling to them - having all the same Friends as your roomie just creates drama. Befriend your roomie but maintain boundaries!

unisciti club is also cliche consigli but I met a lot of cool people through them! And go to parties, say yes to hanging out, be social in the beginning even if it isn't normally your thing. It makes your first anno experience so much better.

Also as far as classes make sure te plan your schedule so te have time to eat and time between. Don't overbook yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help from professors - they Amore what they do and they're super intelligent and they wanna help! Tutoring is also always available and yeah it can be stigmatized but if te need it get it.

Get all your libri as early as possible. Find them used to save money, o ask upperclassman if they'll sell their old libri to you. (This also works for appliances btw. A lot of older students sell stuff at the beginning of the anno - keep an eye out!)

Get there as early as possible to sposta in. te get to choose which side of the room te want and te don't have to deal with moving in and meeting people at the same time; it's a lot più relaxing to already have all your stuff in your room before te go out and do stuff!

Also, te probably don't have enough hangers and storage space. Make sure all your stuff has a home! And bring lots of comfort Cibo and your preferito things from home. Bring Advil and cough drops and hand sanitizer (flu season in dorms is HELL and te WILL get sick several times). te will also need lots of paper towels. And duct tape. Duct tape fixing everything.

Idk what else to say, man, but everyone makes Friends at college and once te do it's the time of your life, but te gotta make yourself into the person te wanna be. First anno is a fresh start - take advantage of that.

If te have any domande te can ask me, but can I ask what school you're going to? te don't have to say if you're not comfortable with that but I'm from Pennsylvania and I'm p familiar with a lot of the schools there. ^^

Most of this advise is what I was going to tell you. To add - be careful if te have to go out at night - make sure te go with friends. Also, remember to take plenty of change with te for washer / dryer / vending machines etc.

^ true and on superiore, in alto of that first one, always look out for your fellow girls when te go out! Only drink things you've seen opened in front of you. If a girl looks uncomfortable with a guy get her out of there even if te don't know her. Don't let your drunk Friends do anything they wouldn't do sober. Always drink water after alcohol. ^^

Moving out is hard, but what my sister did before she left for college was she made sure to meet up with her roommates well ahead of time, so she had someone she could cling to if things got tough.
