Do te think it's possible to think somebody looks "sexy" without feeling a sexual attraction to them?

A weird question, I know. The reason I'm asking this is because a few days ago, when I detto I thought a guy on TV looked sexy, my friend told me that I wasn't allowed to find anybody sexy because I'm asexaul. But I think she was a little confused, and to me they've always meant two different things. Because I've heard straight people say that people of the same sex look sexy and gay people say that people of the other sex look sexy. What are your thoughts?

I'm ace as well, I think Lana Parrilla is fine as hell but I'm not sexually attracted to her. Appreciating beauty and sexual attraction are totally different.

Sexy could mean many different things, like I think inanimate objects are sexy, that doesnt mean Im sexualky attracted to them.

As for people, I only use "sexy" to describe men. Sexy does mean secually attractive after all. I dont find women sexy, but I can see why others would.

For an example. I can find someone's body very sexy but I don't have to get with them like that. But for personal reasons I use the term "attractive" to avoid any misunderstandings because I am a straight guy and alot of people coin "sexy" with "Wow I want to have sex with that person,etc" It's how our society is really. Like I detto sexy could be used in many connotations. So your friend was being ignorant basically.
